Vibrating egg 10-speed - egg discontinued by Shots media - review by ~LaUr3n~

I have to say that it was the design of this bullet that drew me in. I love the little cord with the button. I imagined the bullet being inserted and either myself or my partner pressing the button like the detonator to a little bomb. The thought amused me. Unfortunately, I was not that amused. I found the vibrations to be a bit too displaced to really turn me on. The bullet is fairly strong in power, but I think the vibrations are too buzzy for my sensitive clit. I had to use this over clothes for the most part. It is a great toy for those who like larger bullets for insertion though! The awesome controls make it easy to use while it is inside of you. Unfortunately, I'm not big on inserting bullets, but I can't say I didn't enjoy this at all. I just didn't get off to using it that way. For the price, you get a uniquely designed, larger bullet with plenty of settings. It's still a good buy, just not the best for me.

Material / Texture:

The Vibrating Egg 10 comes in quite a few cute colors. I have to admit that the lime green was a major selling point. I don't have many toys in lime green or orange which is one of the other available colors. This bullet is made of plastic which has a velvety feel to it. I was not impressed by the velvet feel. It has a chalky resemblance, nothing a bit of lubricant can't fix. The plastic is free of phthalates and latex, is hypo-allergenic, and food-grade material. Remember that plastic cannot be sterilized, so sharing is not a good idea without a condom. Normally, that isn't a fun idea with bullets, but this one is large enough that it makes it a bit less awkward (still not preferred though). The material has no smell.

Design / Shape / Size / Controls:

This bullet is larger than most. It's basic shape is like that of a traditional vibration, but made much shorter. It is sleek and straight, with a slightly pointed end. It has a length of about 3 1/4" long. The circumference is about 4 1/2"! This is the thickness of most traditional vibrators. It will fill for a bullet. This is not a bullet that will be able to fit into any toy, not any I own anyways. If you are looking for a replacement bullet, this probably isn't it. It also isn't the BEST at fitting between bodies because of it's girth and firm material, but it is possible. 2 1/4" up the toy is a seam. This is created by the waterproof o-ring that is in between the two parts of the bullet. Here is where the bullet unscrews so the batteries can be placed inside.

I had one hell of a time getting the battery cap on right. It's easy enough to insert the two required and included AAA batteries. They slide into the holes, and then the cap has to be screwed back on. There are some springs that make this difficult. I had a hard time keeping the threads straight. just be patient, and go slow.

At the end of the bullet is the unique feature. It has a 3" long cord that attaches to a small push button for controlling the power settings. It attaches to the bullet through a waterproof washer that feels very secure. The button is small, but easy to push and allows you to insert the bullet and control it easily without messing with a lube covered control. The cord feels sturdy enough to hold up to insertion use. I can imagine that some might be annoyed by the small controls. For me, I didn't find it to be a problem.

The shape and size is pretty traditional. It's probably obvious to most that this is a sex toy. It is decent for travel though.

Function / Performance:

The best part about this affordably priced bullet is the amount of settings. You get ten! Unfortunately, there is no on/off button though. You have to go through all of the settings to turn it off. This can get pretty annoying.

1. Steady, low level of vibration. Doing my nose test (holding it to my nose), I can barely feel ANY vibration. This setting is useless to me. The noise level is already fairly high, especially for no vibration being felt. It sounds like a computer fan.

2. Still steady, still pretty low level of vibration, but much louder. It can be heard across a room and might be heard through a door even though it sounds more like a computer than a vibrator.

3. Medium level of vibration but really high noise level. This is the first level I can finish to.

4. A pulsing of the second level of vibration, as loud as #3

5. A pulsing like #4 then a longer pulse that is more powerful

6. An escalation and then descending vibration level

7. A few pulses of low, then medium, then high vibration

8. Pulses of high vibration that increase in speed. This one was my favorite.

9. A long steady and high vibration, followed by quick pulses

10. A high and steady vibration followed by a lot of pulses

This toy is loud and SOUNDS powerful, but there is just too much bulk to this toy for the motor. If the case were smaller, I bet this would feel much more powerful. As is, I couldn't find a spot on the toy that really pin pointed anything. The vibrations were general and disappointing for the most part. It does a lot better when inserted.

Care and Maintenance:

This bullet is pretty easy to care for. You can use any kind of lubricant and it usually doesn't require anything more than a wipe down with a toy wipe. If you need more deep cleaning, use a wet wash cloth and soap. Let the toy dry and then store.

Packaging:

The packaging is very nice and sleek. It has a lot of information abut the toy and presents it well. The bullet is encased in a plastic clam shell that slides into a card board box with an open front. It includes the two AAA batteries needed. Even though it is not impressive, it still would make a nice gift. It doesn't have any silly pictures of half naked models on it.

Experience:

The bullet was easy enough to insert, but I did feel the seam a bit. I used a condom around the base and cut off a bit from the top so the cord would not be in the condom as well. I get freaked out about pulling things out of me by an electrical cord. This way, I can pull the egg out by the end of the condom. The vibrations could be felt internally, much better than externally, but this was still not enough to make me cum. It did make me really wet though. For this reason, it's a good warm up toy. It's just not my main one for any reason.

I was not impressed with the Vibrating egg. It's vibrations are not deep enough making it feel cheap. This toy simply does not do it for me. For someone who likes larger bullets, this might be better for you. But for me, it fell flat. It got ditched.
