Loud waves of squishy/sticky euphoria

The Silicone Softees Waves of Euphoria gets 3 stars from me because it's a middle-of-the-pack toy with some decent features. While it certainly has some issues to work out in the con column, the pros bring it back up to break even. What does this say overall? It can absolutely go either way. If noise or lint-collecting aren't dealbreakers for you, this could be a total winner of a vibrator. If they are, you are going to hate this toy so hard.

Use

The Silicone Softees Waves of Euphoria is an interesting vibrator that works best in a fairly specific situation: in the bath or shower, when no one who could possibly be offended is home. There are two important factors to know about the SSWOE - it's really, really loud, and it's the best lint collector ever. This makes it a touch difficult to use in a bed if you ever want to put it down (stand it carefully upright on a bedside table so nothing touches the sleeve) or want to get it under the covers (make sure not to let it touch the blankets at all). In a bath, these problems disappear and the waterproof aspect of the toy can be taken full advantage of.

The squishy soft material of the SSWOE's sleeve feels great on labia and clitoris, so it can be used as an external stimulator as well as internally. Use it with a partner as long as you're both diligent about not idly setting it down on blankets or else you'll have to ruin the mood by going to rinse it off.

Although the softness of the toy might feel cool anally, I'd avoid using it in that way because of the lack of flared base and sterilization inability.

Material / Texture

The SSWOE is a traditional plastic vibrator with a SUPER squishy and stretchy phthalate-free TPR silicone sleeve. The hard vibe under the squishiness of the sleeve gives the toy a sort of dual-density feeling, which is pretty cool. While the sleeve does have bumps on it, they seem to be aesthetic only. They couldn't be felt at all during use because the squish factor is too high. It's really a very smooth feeling toy in use. Smooth and soft. Quite nice.

The sleeve is very soft and slightly sticky (and gets a bit more so after being washed). It may just be the most amazing lint catcher in the entire world of sex toys. Watch out!

If you ever get bored of the size (or even shape) of the SSWOE vibrator you could easily just put the sleeve on something else - it's stretchy enough to accommodate a vibrator twice the size of the one it comes with, easily. That said, it isn't indestructible. I removed the sleeve for cleaning and when I went to put it back on by turning it inside out, there was already a small rip on the inside. Not too big a deal, but definitely something to be careful of.

There is a smell to the SSWOE, but it isn't overwhelming at all and not completely unpleasant. It's not repelling like the super plasticy smell of jelly. I could only smell it at 1inch away from my nose, which is not where it would ever usually be. So, not a problem for me, at least.

Design / Shape / Size

I'll admit that I chose this toy not only because I wanted to try something squishy, but because it looks like a cartoonish purple tentacle. I'm a big fan of that kind of ridiculousness and so, in my opinion, it's pretty fun aesthetically.

Size-wise this shouldn't be too intimidating for a beginner. It's pretty slim looking to start, and half an inch of its girth actually comes from the sleeve. Said sleeve can be squished down to almost flatness if pressed a bit. It's sort of like a cat with it's hackles up; though it appears to take up more space, that extra fur doesn't count for much. Or in this case, extra sleeve girth. You know.

Traveling with the SSWOE wouldn't be impossible, although I think that there are better choices for travel toys. The stickiness of the sleeve is going to require a plastic bag for containment (or else just keep it in its original clamshell packaging) and it's not exactly discreet looking. I'd say leave this one at home and grab something quieter for to-go fun.

Functions / Performance / Controls

In use, the main thing about this toy is that it's LOUD. When you apply pressure to it, it manages to get even louder. Not at all recommended for those who need discretion to be a feature of their toys.

The SSWOE's vibrations are really pretty decent, but somehow you feel like they should be stronger for all the racket it's making. I was honestly finding it hard to accurately judge the vibration strength because of the sound, so I put earplugs in. Conclusion: the sleeve does seem to dull the vibration's power a bit, but it's still a good solid buzz. And I could still hear it buzzing away even with the ear plugs in, let me just say.

The vibrations are located in the tip of the vibrator and stay fairly centralized there. There aren't any patterns of vibration, just a low-to-high gradient of power. Control-wise, it's a simple and straight-forward case of a dial on the toy's base. Very easy to figure out and work. Despite having a dial control, the SSWOE isn't easily turned on by accidental bumping or anything of that sort, which is nice.

Being waterproof is a double bonus for this toy because of its lint-attracting qualities. Take it into the bathroom and leave it there if you can, because that's where it really shines. The sleeve becomes nice and slick underwater, losing all the stickiness it has dry. The only downside to this use is that the silicone component of the sleeve means no silicone lube, which is unfortunate in a bathtime scenario because of how water-based lubes can wash away.

Care and Maintenance

You'll want to wash this constantly because of its linty ways. Warm water + toy cleaner or antibacterial soap will do the trick. For thorough cleaning the sleeve can easily be removed and washed separately, and conveniently dries pretty fast.

Storage is easy if you just keep the toy in its original packaging. At the same time, I'm not a fan of clamshells as storage since they take up so much room in a drawer. A plastic bag might be a better, though less classy-looking, choice.

And as always, because of the silicone component of the toy, avoid silicone-based lubes.

Packaging

The SSWOE comes in a plastic clamshell package that easily shows the toy. The paper insert proclaims it phthalate free and water proof, plushy soft. These things are all true. It also calls it “multi-textured”, which means.. it's a sleeve on a vibrator? And technically if you take the sleeve off and use the vibrator by itself, that's a different texture? Seems a bit of a stretch to me. Still, the entire packaging is free of sexy naked ladies, so hurray for that.

Personal comments

I was really excited about trying this out as I'd never had a squishy soft toy before. However, the noise coupled with the high-maintenance nature of the sleeve material during use made it a toy that I didn't really want to reach for at playtime. Although it was adequate as a vibrator and got the job done, this has a few too many strikes against it for me to say it's something I'm going to use on a regular basis. As a tentacle fan, I was also hoping the texture would be a little more noticeable than.. not at all. Still, it's a neat texture and I'm glad to have finally tried out something squishy.
Follow-up commentary
This toy has rarely seen the light of day in two months. The stickiness of the material has consistently discouraged me from using it, and instead, I always reach for some other, lower-maintenance toy. Even when I do stop to consider giving it a go, I remember how freakin' loud it is and resolutely grab something else. The cons officially outweigh the pros for me on this one.
