More Like Unessential Softee

When you can come up with a fairly lengthy Cons list over Pros, and there's no orgasm in sight, you know it's time to find a truly essential vibrator and put this piece of junk aside. Amen.
Published:
Pros
Vibration dial-control, fairly high intensity.
Cons
Not high enough, material, texture is uncomfortable, cleaning is annoying, rather loud.

somewhat useful review
In my mind, the Basic Essentials Softee could have gone either way - simple and exciting or ho-hum bordering on uncomfortable. After getting it's soft, nubbed pink body out of the packaging, I immediately tested the dial-control for vibration range and intensity. I found it to be promising. However, I noticed that most of the intensity is in the "head", which is smooth, not nubbed. So why the nubby texture? Perhaps it feels good rubbing on the clit or in the vagina?

Nope. Although the vibration did feel good, it wasn't really strong enough to push me over the edge. So it might be good for some warm-up foreplay or orgasm control, but otherwise it's a big fat disappointment. While it was inside me I kept thinking, "This might feel good without those nubs." It wasn't painful, per se. It was just uncomfortable. You can remove the nubby texture to reveal a hard plastic, smooth vibrator - very simple - yet the problem with the intensity is still present.

Oh, and it was rather loud. Like Hitachi loud. And it has no right to be.

Then the joyous task of cleaning! Thankfully, the Basics Essential Softee is waterproof so you really can rinse, scrub, rinse, rinse, dammit-missed-a-spot, scrub, rinse, rinse, rinse, scrub, rinse.... You'll need to do it. There's no getting around it. Between the small crevices of the texture and the material, which cannot be sterilized, you're bound to spend quite a bit of time cleaning before and after use. In fact, if you buy it, you might want to use it only in the shower. Ever. Let it live there next to your shampoo.

There are much better vibrators of this price range out there. And certainly more expensive vibrators worth every penny if you can invest it.
