Mystic wand - massager by Vibratex - review by KrissyNovacaine

My mystic

This a a nice middle of the road wand massager. It's not as powerful as some on the market, but it's got some nice perks to it. It's cordless, the head is very flexible, and the head is silicone. The down side is that there are nicer and more powerful models for less on the market. I will give this that many of them don't have patterns which this one does have. Overall, I ended up getting a different wand that I prefer more, but I don't think that this is a bad toy; it just could be better.
Silicone flexible head
Nice Power and patterns
Light shows how strong the setting is
Battery guzzler

extremely useful review

This wand massager is made by Vibratex. It's got some really nice features and some disappointments, so depending on what you are looking for, this may be perfect or a loss.

I originally picked it up because it was cordless, and I wanted a wand massager that I could pack into our BDSM kit for public play. This seemed like a reasonable option for that. It's smaller than other models I've seen and needing to swap out batteries didn't seem like a huge deal.

It's quite versatile. It can be used as a traditional massager for relieving tension in tight muscles, or the silicone head and stimulate all sort of erogenous zones. Wands like this are most often used to stimulate the vulva, but some men also enjoy a wand massager at the base of their penis.

This is not designed for use internally. It's rather large.

Material / Texture

The body of the Mystic is made from a velvety plastic. It's got a groove in it that makes it easy to grip. The raised portion is an inch tall under the white neck of the toy and runs down the entire area where the buttons sit. I find that it makes it very comfortable for use on others but is a bit awkward to hold when using it on oneself.

The head and neck are plastic coated in a plush silicone. The silicone attracts every scrap of lint. It's even worse because the head and neck have grooves which trap all the lint in them. In use, the grooves really don't make much of a difference to me.

Plastic and silicone don't have an odor or taste, nor do they keep any from use.

Design / Shape / Size

The wand is 8.25" long in total. The head is about 2.5", and the neck is 1". The body is almost 5" long. The head is about 5.75" in circumference. I am 6' tall, and I do not have petite hands. This is comfortable in my hands, but a bit on the slim side.

The buttons are very nicely laid out if you are using this on someone else, but not user friendly for self stimulation. There are two buttons and two lights. The bottom button is the power button while the other one controls the functions. The small light above the function button changes color to show how powerful the setting is and pulses in time to the pattern. The other light is larger and above all the others. It shows when the toy is on and nothing else. I felt that this second light was really redundant.

I got this specifically to take it with us when we go to the local dungeon. It came with a velvet bag that it fits in, and we just toss it in the backpack we use. It's totally travel friendly. It'll fit in most medium to large purses.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Pressing the power button turns the toy on the lowest steady setting. Then there is a medium steady and high steady. After those it cycles into the patterns which are:

medium and high fast pulses
medium medium high pulses
slow to high escalation

Compared to many toys I have this list is a tad lacking in diversity, but I don't really care for patterns anyway so it wasn't a huge problem.

This isn't as powerful as my Fairy wand, but it isn't weak. The vibrations are located in the head and very little travels down into the handle. It's louder then my cell phone on vibrate, but it's not loud enough to be heard behind a closed door.
    • Easy to use
    • Powerful

Care and Maintenance

The plastic can me wiped down with a damp cloth and antibacterial soap or toy cleaner. The silicone comes off so you can sterilize it with 10% bleach solution, by boiling, or tossing in the top rack of the dishwasher. The grooves on the head and neck are a pain, so you may want to have a soft brush to clean them out with.

The toy comes with a velvety bag that makes storage a breeze. Put it in the bag and stash just about anywhere. You just don't want to store silicone touching other silicone toys.

This came in a clear plastic box that blatantly displays the toy. So, it's not the most discreet, but it's not covered in nude or scantily clad people, so there's that. It's not amazing packaging, but it's not the worst either.
    • Minimal
    • Not discreet
Follow-up commentary
This has been passed on to others because I use my rechargeable Fairy Wand way more. This just lacked a lot of things that ended up being important to me. I would have preferred if this was rechargeable and a bit stronger.
