Not a Euphemism, Actual Pink Banana

I love my Pink Banana! This whimsical toy is a playful addition to any toy box. The fact that it's hard-playing silicone and has a removable bullet will make sure it can stand up to the test of time. The Banana can find your G-spot with ease and, when treated as a bullet sleeve, can be upgraded to a real vroom-er.

Use

I promise I never considered using actual fruit as toys, but when I saw the Oh Oui! Pink Banana, its whimsical shape gave me ideas!

Banana has a few functions:
1. Big pink dildo
2. G-spot vibe
3. *Just like my Rocket Bunny review, Banana has an additional function, probably its best use, really: Interchangeable bullet sleeve

The Banana is primarily designed for vaginal, not anal penetration with some light vibration to add stimulation. The weakness of the bullet it comes with and the positioning of the bullet in the back is such that vibrations will always be a 'side' to go with the main meal.

Since the Banana is totally smooth, without flaring or any base, do not use it for anal penetration. The vibrations do not transmit very well to the tip, so teasing anally, on the nipples or the vulva would best please those who find themselves rather sensitive. People who are used to vibrations or are less sensitive will be a little disappointed. Banana probably wouldn't work out as a non-erotic massager.

The Banana is best suited to couples and/or ladies with a sense of humor! I received it as a funny gift from someone close to me, and it was a pretty good laugh! I'm happy to say though that swapping out the bullet it came with for a stronger, rechargeable one takes it out of 'gag gift' territory and into lovable, silicone G-vibrator land!

Material / Texture

The Banana is 100% pink silicone. It had no taste or smell when I first opened the package, but the material does seem to have a lot of drag, moreso than my other silicone toys and very much due to the fact that it's silicone all the way through rather than a thin layer on top of electronics.

It's very bendy in one direction, but not so much in the other.

Flex inward

The Banana is mostly smooth, but is rather realistically a banana! It even has a little stem at the top. This probably precludes the Banana from being a double-ended toy, but be my guest. I have not personally tried to insert the stem side.

There is no texture in particular -- the Banana is mostly smooth. The bullet hole is closer to the stem side, found in the back. It's fairly deep, at 2.5".

Design / Shape / Size

There are two parts to this toy: the Banana silicone sleeve (which I admit is the main reason I bought the toy) and the bullet that came with it. I will describe them separately.

The Banana:
The Banana is very, very pink. It's eye-catching and charming to me. To someone who happens to wander into your room, it will also be eye-catching, keep in mind. I think the shape is fairly discreet since it could just be a strange knick-knack, but it will still demand a question or two.

The Banana is:
Length: 6.5" long
Width: 1.5" in diameter
Girth: 4.75"

The Bullet:
The bullet is a very standard, small bullet. It's covered with a velvet-feel black material, likely PU plastic, but it could be silicone. It is 3" in length, with a rounded tip and a single button on the back. It's the exact same type of bullet that's included with the Love Bunny, and just as disappointing.

Even though the bullet comes with 3 watch batteries, I will probably never use them til they're dead or buy replacements. Watch batteries are expensive and I'm not keen on keeping them stocked in the house. Also, the bullet itself is simply not worth using -- the inside is all exposed electronics and doesn't even make very good contact with itself. I can get the bullet to turn on when the cap is half-unscrewed -- if it's screwed tightly, it won't turn on at all. I'm not sure why this is, but it's okay, because I have a solution: just use a better bullet. I use the We-Vibe Salsa with my Banana.

When you use a stronger bullet, the fact that the bullet's position is very far from the tip doesn't matter anymore -- neither does 'cheapness' or replacing batteries (the Salsa is rechargeable). The original bullet didn't have any functions or patterns that I could coax out of it, while the Salsa has many.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Bullet:

I don't plan on using the original bullet with the Banana. In my opinion, it's not worth it. The original bullet feels extremely cheap to me. It doesn't seem to have any functions or patterns, just a single speed. This single speed rates at 1 vroom in my hand. When situated in the Banana, which absorbs some of the vibrations, it's truly weak. How disappointing!

The Banana:
The Banana, however, was delightful.

In use, the silicone on the Banana and the widening of the shaft required a bit of lube. It felt like it had a substantial amount of drag, which was slightly uncomfortable for me. Those who are used to larger toys will not have a problem, though! I find that I prefer a smaller toy, but this didn't stop the Banana from being very enjoyable in shape -- the curve in the middle makes for decent G-spotting.

You can see in the pictures that the Banana is decently flexible. This lack of rigidity can make finding your G-spot in positions other than seated or reclining a bit difficult. Thrusting is also made slightly more difficult, which makes cervical stimulation or feeling the real 'length' of it, like in penetrative sex, a bit difficult.

Care and Maintenance

The Banana is super easy to clean. Having a bullet that's not actually used for insertion means taking it out and cleaning just the silicone sleeve makes for an easy, low-maintenance toy. I love that the electronic portion can be separated from the sleeve. Then, you can bleach the toy, wash it in the dishwasher or totally immerse it in soapy water. Sharing the toy becomes an option with the body-safe, non-porous silicone.

If you wish to switch out the bullet, a dab of lube is necessary at the tip of the bullet, but that's it!

Since the Banana itself is 100% silicone, allowing it to touch other silicone toys is not recommended. Remember that like dissolves like, and allowing two silicone toys to touch will encourage a reaction. Likewise, don't use a silicone-based lubricant with this toy. Stick to water-based if you'll be around condoms, or you can use an oil-based lubricant if condoms will not be involved that night.

The package that the Banana came with is pretty cheap -- not so good for storage. Generally, any box shape would be enough for me, but this is merely a piece of cardboard with some plastic stuck on top.

Follow-up commentary
I wish there was a neutral option -- I still like the banana and I love that it's a versatile silicone sleeve (cleaning up is so easy and bath-time -- don't get me started!) but I need vibrations, especially internally. The Banana absorbs the vibrations too much for me, even when paired with a stronger bullet.

If you don't need as much vibration in general or don't need internal vibration, this guy is still the way to go. The cute shape has gotten me some compliments!

A wonderful and very thorough review, it was a pleasure to edit it.
Just a note, the jury seems to still be out when it comes to silicone toys touching one another. The consensus seems to be that if both toys are 1005 pure silicone, there shouldn't be a problem. It's when we get into silicone blends that problems with material degrading might occur.

Very nice review. This is definitely the product to go for if you're looking for a "realistic" dildo from the banana family.

Thanks for the review! I had the same thought of trying the Salsa with it, frankly I always want to try my salsa in place of anything with a removable bullet. Too bad even that didn't help enough because I liked that this was totally smooth, oh well.
