Not for every Kitty.

The Kitty Play is a small, easy to control, fun little toy. If you are looking for a powerhouse vibe, this one isn't for you. But if you like a high-pitched buzz and don't mind a little noise, this could be a great toy to add to your collection.

Use

The Kitty Play Bullet is ideally suited to external stimulation during solo play and for teasing and foreplay during couples play. Insertion is possible, but a condom would be useful for safety and retrieval. The straightforward controls and simple design make this a toy for any experience level. It's shape and design are non-threatening and well suited as anyone's first toy.

This toy's vibration patterns are a high-pitched buzz rather than a low-pitched, strong, thuddy type vibe. This should be kept in mind when choosing this vibrator as buzzy doesn't work for some but is ideal for others.

Material / Texture

This bullet is made of ABS plastic with a PU coating. This coating has a smooth, almost velvety feel that makes you think the toy will be soft. But the plastic is hard and has no give. The texture induces friction when dragged across bare skin. This can be pleasant for some, but others may appreciate using a water or silicone-based lube to reduce the friction.

Design / Shape / Size

This is an egg-shaped bullet with a fairly short length of double wire between the bullet at the button control. It's 2.25 inches long and 1 3/8ths inches in diameter. Given the short length of the bullet, the texture's tendency to cause friction and the length of the wire to the control button, I found it very awkward for insertion purposes and abandoned the effort before achieving success.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Kitty Play has three vibration pattern choices: Continuous vibration, pulsation and escalation. All these are easily controlled with a push button controller at the end of a short length of wiring. To turn off the Kitty Play, you press and hold the push button for about 3 seconds. This is a huge plus as far as toy controllers go. Being able to turn off the toy without having to cycle through the different options is very handy in many situations and most often lacking in toy controllers.

Care and Maintenance

Nowhere on the packaging or in the information from the website does it mention this toy is waterproof. That said, the battery compartment is sealed with a silicone o-ring and there is a seal around the wiring where it enters the bullet. After being submerged completely in water, there was no water inside the battery compartment and everything was in working order. So, while perhaps using this toy in the tub wouldn't be entirely safe, washing this toy with antibacterial soap and water should be. You could also use your favorite toy cleaner or wipe of course.

The Kitty Play is compact and storage is simple. It can tuck away into the corner of any drawer, between the mattresses or into your toy bag easily. It does not appear to attract lint or dust and shouldn't react if it touches other toys.

Packaging

The packaging is not discreet. The small black cardboard box features a mostly nude woman and a short description of the toy in 8 languages. I don't believe it would be very durable for storage.

Personal comments

Unfortunately for me, this toy was too high frequency to bring me to orgasm. It was pleasant to use as a warm-up toy, but considering it takes not one, but two N size batteries and they are both expensive and hard to find, I don't think this one is making it into my collection of regularly used toys.

I also was quite disappointed by the lack of power. I have other toys that use one N battery and are twice as powerful as this toy is, using two N batteries. Still, I wouldn't dismiss this as an inexpensive option for someone who is very sensitive.
Follow-up commentary
I revisited this one awhile back, to give it another shot and was quite disappointed to find the batteries were already going dry. So You can add serious battery suckage to the Cons list for this one. Considering that N type batteries are a pain in the ass to find and not particularly cheap, this toy has been officially put out to pasture for good.
