Use

As the curve (and the name) suggests, this vibrator is intended for g-spot stimulations. I came across this looking for a g-spot vibrator that's slim in girth, being new to insertible vibrators myself. And thanks to my amazing mentor, this became my first g-spot vibrator. I would definitely recommend this for beginners as the shape is not intimidating, and if the curve doesn't work well for you (which it didn't for me, unfortunately), it still works for clitoral stimulations with its pinpoint, powerful vibrations.

Material / Texture

The Slender G is made of plastic and painted with a metal coating. The texture is smooth with the exception of a seam along the side. However, it's generally not noticeable and certainly is not something that can be felt when inside you. Because it is made of plastic, it is hard and inflexible. Therefore, if you're concerned about the comfort of rigid toys, you might want to skip this one.

A word of caution, the paint may chip or scratch. Unfortantly, mine came out of the box with a scratch on the paint and it does seem like the paint can come off if you scratch it with a hard edge. On the upside, there was no smell when it's first out of the box.

Design / Shape / Size

Here's the tricky part. The shape is designed to stimulate your g-spot which is its intended function. However, it's not one size fits all. It's slim enough that there really shouldn't be a problem with the insertion. However, for me, the curve was too shallow for its intended purpose. Because plastic is pretty unyielding, trying to angle it to hit my g-spot made it uncomfortable and not in the fun way. The tip does do a good job of delivering pinpointed vibrations though.

It's compact and light, so it's pretty travel-friendly. However, because the power button is pretty easily depressed, if you're planning on traveling with it, you will definitely need to be sure that you take the batteries out before stowing it in your bag.

The design is pretty simple. At 6" in length and less than 1" in diameter, it's definitely one of the more slender toys out there. If the girths of the other g-spot toys are as off-putting for you (like they were for me), this might be a good option.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Slender G 5 Function has...you guessed it, 5 functions. It's really the pulse pattern that varies though, the level of the vibration stays the same for most of them. The patterns are roughly thus (not in this order though):

- Pulses followed by shorter, faster pulses.
- Pulses followed by a longer, lower intensity pulse.
- Pulsing.
- Non-pulsing.
- Non-pulsing, pulsing, non-pulsing, pulsing...etc. etc.

To get from one pattern to the next, you depress the button at the bottom (which is also the batteries cap) and you cycle through all of the patterns to shut it off.

It is pretty strong (and buzzy, but I happen to be non-picky about the type of vibration). The trade-off for its strength is it is also pretty loud. It's quite enough under covers though, but I wouldn't chance it if there's another person in the room.

Slender G 5 is definitely splash-proof, but the lack of a rubber seal or anything similar to it stopped me from submerging it into the water completely.

The variation, strength and the splash-ability (plus it's pretty effective as a clitoral vibrator) makes me rank this at 4 stars instead of 3.

Overall, I really wish that the curve fits my anatomy better
    • Lots of variety in function
    • Multiple settings
    • Not very discreet

Care and Maintenance

Slender G is low maintenance. Soap and water works for cleaning. Although it claims to be waterproof, I suggest that you refrain from submerging it completely when washing (even with the batteries out). After soaping and rinsing, I patted mine down and left it to dry completely before storing it away in a fabric bag to prevent paint chipping.

I rarely use lube, but to my knowledge, plastics are fairly lube-friendly. Water, oil, or silicone-based lubes are all fine with this toy.
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

It came in a clear, colorful plastic box. There's nothing explicit on there, but because it's clear, you definitely can see the vibrator even when it's still in the box. Personally, I felt like the box is too flimsy to keep for storage use and threw it away.

There is a folded sheet of instruction in the package, but honestly, it's pretty useless and confusing. Thankfully, it's pretty obvious where the batteries should go and how they should go in. However, do not remove the cardboard tube in the battery compartment to put in the batteries (two AAA's). I did, thinking that it's additional instructions and it took forever for me to put it back in again.
Follow-up commentary
The paint hasn't chipped more, which is good. I've been using it mainly for clitoral stimulation, which actually works pretty well. I've also tried to use it internally a few times, but it just doesn't mesh too well with my anatomy, which is a pity.

Overall, still four stars for its functions in external stimulation.
