Puregel sleeve - vibrator sleeve discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by User Unknown

Okay, so this was the first even remotely realistic toy I ever purchased. It is also the first that doesn't vibrate. So of course I was dying with excitement to get the (relatively obnoxious/cliche) packaging open. Also I purchased the purple, which is actually a pale clear pink color.

My first impression was that it had a strong rubbery odor, almost like something ‘too sweet meets chemicals’ kind of scent. It was not really pleasant, but certainly not enough to completely turn me off to the shiny, somewhat floppy, realistic shaped toy. However, the material (especially in the tip where the hollow center becomes solid) is quite nice. I think ‘firmly squishy’ describes it best.

I spent a few minutes experimentally squeezing it. The strong scent was really the only thing deterring me from licking and/or sucking on it at that point (still only a few minutes of determent though). It's really yummy to wrap your tongue around, in my opinion. If not for the smell, the smooth firm-squishy material would be really great.

Now, my first attempt at insertion (1 ¾' wide slid, 7 inches long with an insertable length of 6 inches, over the Bswish Bgood) was very limited. It was just a tad too big for me to start out with. However after working up to it a little, the raised veins and definition of the penis's head feels really quite fantastic and was amazing for thrusting.

Also great for use in the shower (by itself or over a waterproof vibrator, the material does have plenty of give but is firm enough to hold its own), the water warms the material up and really adds to the experience. I've found that the rubbery smell does fade with time and use, but don't expect it to ever be unnoticeable. It also attracts lint, hair, dust or any other small debris nearby. But, it's REALLY affordable, so the trade off is pretty even.

You should also make note that since it's jelly, this toy is compatible with both silicone and water based lubes (though I've used neither with it so far). It can be cleaned with mild soap, a toy cleaner, and warm water; but no boiling for this guy. Jelly toys can't be sanitized, so if you're going to share you should use a condom over it.

I'm going to use this section to summarize my review with some basic info that you can pro or con as you will, since I've expressed the opinion developed over the last few months use of the toy already.

Over the course of time I've noticed that the smell has faded somewhat. But it has definitely remained potent enough that every time I open the drawer, I get a whiff of too-sweet-chemical-scent. Still, the material has held up well with moderate use. Still attracts lint, but hasn't done any tearing or damaging stretching of the material. Not bad for a low budget Mr. Right Now.
