The Perfect Companion would be a good choice for those who prefer external stimulation or those looking for an unintimidating, middle-of-the-road multi-purpose toy. Its compact size and design make it great for travel, and the USB-powered rechargeable battery is an added convenience for anyone that doesn't want to keep batteries or an external charger on hand (although you probably will want to use the extension cord.)

The "shaft" of the vibrator is made of hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous, and phthalates free silicone, and the removable base is made of an unidentified hard plastic material. The silicone portion of the toy is silky and mostly firm, although it is slightly flexible, which makes it good for both internal and external stimulation, and there was no discernible taste or odor.

Not only is the smooth texture of the silicone luxurious, but the vibrator has a similar form factor and design to more luxury/high-end toys. With 4" of insertable length, it's a decent option for some light internal play for beginners or those who just prefer something a little less heavy-handed.

This toy offers 30 speeds and patterns, which is certainly more than enough for any human. You turn the vibrator on by pressing the discreet power button near the bottom of the silicone shaft, and you can browse through the patterns by pressing the button below that. A red light will illuminate in between the two buttons when the vibrator is on. It's sort of a pain to have to manually scroll through each option by pressing the button again and again, but at least it starts up at the setting you had previously selected when you turn it off and on again.

The Companion is relatively quiet - similar to a cell phone vibration, but maybe even a little quieter than that. It's pretty powerful, with three distinct speeds that provide a decent range of stimulation levels.

To charge the vibrator, you pop off the white plastic cap and either plug the vibrator directly into a USB outlet or use the included extension cord. A purple light will turn on when you plug it in and will turn off when the toy is finished charging.

Because it's made of silicone, the vibrator can be easily cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaner. Unfortunately, it cannot be sanitized through boiling, but it can be sterilized with a diluted bleach solution.

A water-based lubricant should be used with silicone toys.

The Perfect Companion came in a black mesh bag with ribbon detailing that read "SEXTOYS," but it has no branding on the toy or anywhere else. The package also includes a USB extension cord, but it came with absolutely no instructions or documentation, which seems weird for a "premium" product.
