Crystal chic G - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Heartthrob

The Crystal Chic G is a pretty little vibe which is meant for both clit and vaginal stimulation. A simple straight forward design should make a good toy but alas something just wasn't right with mine. From trouble with the batteries to trouble with the controls, this vibe proved extremely hard to use. Even so, it provided me with incredible g spot stimulation.

This toy is extremely slender and is therefor meant for those women out there who like the freedom to move and position their g spot toys. Unfortunately, the slenderness of the toy makes it very difficult to hold and is therefor not recommended for those with arthritic hands. Even so, the nonthreatening size is perfect for beginners while the pointed tip is perfect for those women out there who want to try their hand at squirting or at least getting close to it. This is one of the few g spot vibes I have found that puts enough pressure on the g spot to arrive at that wet climax.

The Chic G is made from Velvet Cote which is super smooth and satiny. Velvet cote is non porous and phthalates free. Unlike my other velvet cote toys, this one does not dry out quickly and therefor you never have to worry about not having enough lube. The base of the shaft is studded with six real crystals. That's right, they're real. Classy! While they're not meant to go inside of you they do provide a nice grip to the toy. While the vibe is odorless it tastes horrible. I put into my mouth and instantly was overwhelmed with a bitter taste. Hence, this is not something you will want to suck on, trust me.

This is really one of the smallest g spot vibes I've ever come across. I'm going to be honest here, it's more the size of a prostrate vibe than a g spot stimulator, but since it doesn't have a flared base, it's meant for us girls. The vibe is 6 inches long with 5 of those inches being insertable length. The g spot curve is about an inch long and an inch raised from the shaft which is plenty in my book. Finally, the circumference is only 2 1/2 inches which tapers down to 1 1/2 at the very tip. What this means is that the vibe feels more like a finger than a penis and is also a little poky at times. Now, since it is so slender I would recommend it to women who have not engaged in a lot of play and may still have their Hyman. Because it's only a little thicker than a tampon it should be comfortable for insertion.

The small size of the toy makes it extremely easy to hide and perfect for travel. It will easily fit in a purse and an overnight bag.

Here is where I really had problems. I took the cap off and noticed that there were two inserts in the toy. One with instructions on battery installation and another plastic insert meant to hold the batteries in place. Seemed easy enough. I put in two AAA batteries and twisted the cap back on. However I only had one speed. The vibe is supposed to come with three speeds so I figured I had done something wrong. I went to take the batteries out and they were stuck! I tried everything to get them out from tweezers to toothpicks and nothing would work. The plastic insert was just too snug. After 15 minutes of fiddling the side of the screw on piece snapped. Only then could I get my tweezers in all the way and pull out the insert. I took it out and put in the batteries without it. Granted they do flop around but I can at least get to them. So, for future reference, never use the plastic battery insert if you want to be able to change your batteries.

Now, like I said before, I only had one speed, high. I suppose, since I usually use the high speed in my toys, that works for me, but it may not work for other women. If you are a woman who wants mild to low vibration steer clear as you may receive a toy that does not come with three levels as stated.

The controls are a simple push button at the base of the toy. Mine is not very sensitive. I really have to push to get it to turn on and then it takes up to seven pushes to get it to turn off. However, it's another story if I don't want it to turn off. Because the toy is so slender, your hand is over the button at all times meaning that you will press it and turn the unit off when you don't want to.

The vibes are concentrated at the tip of the toy and don't carry well throughout the rest of the base. Even so, what you really want with a g spot vibe is direct g stimulation, so this really works out well. The sound level is very low, about as loud as a cell phone on vibrate. Finally, the toy is waterproof and can be used in the bath or shower.

One good feature of the toy is that it is very easy to clean. Simply wash with antibacterial soap and warm water before and after each use or wipe down with rubbing alcohol. Because velvet cote doesn't react to other chemicals the vibe can be stored in a toy chest, sock drawer, where ever you want. Finally, only use water and silicone based lubes with this toy. Oil will harm the velvet cote.

The Crystal Chic G comes in a small gray plastic box adorned with printed crystals. On the front are the highlights of the toy "3 speeds, incredible power, genuine crystals, and smooth satin finish." The back of the box boasts that the toy can last seven hours on high and fourteen on low speed without having to change batteries. I will be able to confirm this later on. Finally, the company recommends water based lube and that the toy be stored without the batteries inside.

I am always hopeful with any toy I receive, but the Crystal Chic just seemed to fall short at first. So short, I thought I was going to have to give it less than two stars. The batteries wouldn't come out, I couldn't get the toy to switch through the differing speeds, and the push button was very hard to handle. I've had toys with one problem but never three! Even so, I lubed it up, turned it on, and slipped it in. At first, I really couldn't feel anything. After all, the toy is very slender, but then it hit my g spot. The Crystal G, while it is small and has flaws, was able to really stimulate my g spot with high intensity. It left me with a squirting orgasm which is rare for me. So, this toy is a keeper even though it's a lot of effort.
