Savanna's vivid dreams - traditional vibrator discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Mistress Mandy

When I ordered Savanna's Vivid Dreams I wasn't sure what to expect. I've never been very fond of anything made out of jelly since I've bad experiences with all of the other jelly toys I've owned. The first jelly toy I got was too soft and porous, it seemed to fall apart right away. After that I purchased another jelly toy that looked less porous and it ended up being extremely rigid and uncomfortable to use. Savanna was so different that it totally blew me away when I first took it out of the packaging. All I could think was "Wow. This feels so nice". This jelly is silky smooth to the touch, like my harder jelly toy was, but it gives a little bit more without feeling squishy. Where the shaft connects to the plastic battery casing it bends slightly more than the rest of the shaft, which makes me a little afraid that it could eventually break there, but in a way it also makes it more comfortable to use.

Another feature that really impressed me was the speed dial being on the side of the battery casing instead of on the bottom. I really didn't think it would make much of a difference, but it actually made it a lot easier, and more comfortable, to adjust the speed. The one bad thing about the placement is that my thumb would sometimes slip and turn the dial one way or another until I got used to it being there. I also really enjoyed how smoothly it adjusted the speed. On a lot of toys I've owned the speed adjustment would jump a little, like it skipped over a speed setting. This is something that has always been extremely distracting to me. But with Savanna, the speed would change very gradually, making it so I could really enjoy the vibrations instead of being jarred by a sudden change in speed.

Having never used a traditional style vibrator before and have never been able to achieve an orgasm from vaginal stimulation alone I was a bit worried that I wouldn't enjoy Savanna. In a way I was right to be worried. While I loved the feeling of the raised swirl, and enjoyed the strong vibrations inside my vagina, it wasn't enough for me to orgasm. It was also a bit awkward to stimulate my clit at the same time, whether it was with my fingers or using my pocket rocket. It was more awkward trying to use the pocket rocket at the same time though as it got in the way of moving Savanna. I was still able to achieve the desired result, but only after a lot of adjustments.

On my next encounter with Savanna I decided to use it vaginally to warm myself up, and finish myself off by using it on my clit. While this was much more enjoyable, as the vibrations are extremely strong, I also discovered that the vibrations were extremely loud when it wasn't being muffled by my body. This was pretty annoying since my husband and I had decided to play in the front room of our old apartment, and the walls there were pretty thin; anyone going up or down the staircase outside would have easily been able to hear everything. Even though it made both of us a little nervous, we were able to get a laugh out of it in the end.

I know that others have complained that they've had to use a ton of lube with Savanna just to get it in, but I didn't have that problem at all. I actually found Savanna to be really slippery once I put a little bit of Pink silicone lubricant on it. I'm not sure why that is, but it seems that other people didn't enjoy the swirled ridge as much as I did either.

Cleaning this vibrator surprised me as well, being that this is a jelly toy. I found that it cleaned a lot easier than the previous jelly toys that I've owned and was even more surprised to find that it didn't attract a ton of lint like they did either. Just another reason why I love the material that Savanna is made out of.

But in the end I'd have to say that I have mixed feelings about Savanna. While I love the silky feel of the material, the spiraling ridges and the wonderfully strong vibrations, I can't help but want more. I think I'd like Savanna better if she were a dual action vibrator, but I've found that it somehow helps to think of her as a dildo with the added benefit of vibration instead of a traditional style vibrator.
