Save your money get your sting elsewhere

I am usually one who is extremely fond of toys that allow for insertion because that is the only way I can usually get off. However, I thought I would switch it up and try a toy that is designed for clitoral pleasure. Big mistake that was or at least in the case of Jenna's Devilish Fantasies Vibrator made by Doc Johnson. When I first saw that this product had straps for hands free play I was super excited and immediately knew I must own this. Unfortunately that excitement ended after using the product only one time. It was such a sting and not in a way anyone wants to be stung. The straps were painful, the speeds a complete let down, and the buzzing noise just hurt my ears. Not to mention the tiny little bullet inside this toy couldn't even satisfy a beginners clit.

I don’t know that I would wear this during intercourse because it might get in the way but if weak vibrations and boring stings on your clit and mediocre vibes on your labia from the wings are your thing it might be okay as a warm up for sex.

This toy would be good for campus/room mate living because although it is a little on the noisier side you could wrap it around your clit and stick the cord in a pocket and walk around with it in. It is a little bulky and I wouldn’t wear it out anywhere but you could get away with wearing it if you have a room mate or two and they probably wouldn’t even notice.

Now now, I know I can't speak for everyone and hey some beginners might even like this product but I would recommend to any toy user save your money.

If you choose to forego my warnings, or just decide you want to try this product for yourself the best situations to use this product would be solo or as a couple. The fact that it is hands free that is if you can figure out the straps and it doesn't cut off your circulation would be a great bonus to any bedroom for couples play.

The Sting Ray is made out of TPR Silicone. It is porous and has a rating of 6 out of 10 on the safety scale. It is Hypo-allergenic, Latex free, and Phthalates free as well.

The material did collect a lot of lint and this was quite annoying. The toy does feel a little sticky and almost reminded me of one of those toys you get out of a 25 cent machine. The sticky hand that you can stretch apart and throw out and it sticks.

The straps for hand free use are made out of plastic much like the clear straps that come with a bra.

I do not believe that the texture or material of this toy add to the stimulation. Honestly the material and texture do not really make a difference.

I do think that there is a slight smell to the product, however I can not really pin point exactly what it is. But the smell is not strong enough to be bothersome at least it wasn't for me.

As with all of my reviews I will say this again because in my opinion I do not believe that texture or materials of a toy make it something for a beginner or an advanced user. I think the sting ray can be used by anyone no matter what level of user they are.

This vibe is designed and shaped just like a sting ray. The tiny bullet is inside the belly and the wings are on the outside. I think that the shape of this product had it worked to stimulate me would have been beneficial.

The tail of the sting ray attached at the very end of the product was pointless and did nothing for me. Even when I held the product down with my hands thinking maybe it would help the tail doesn't even reach anywhere to make you feel good. I must say though that the vibration in the tail as well as the wings would have felt good had I been able to feel it.

I am a plus size women with pretty big thighs, and although I could get the straps on it was painful and felt like it was cutting off circulation. The straps are cheaply made and would snag and tangle each time I tried to put them on or take them off. Poor design if you ask me.

Even though I did get the straps on and they do adjust, I think in order to have the straps fit comfortably you would need to be a smaller women with smaller thighs.

I must say though once I finally got the straps on it did stay in place pretty nicely.

The size I think was a decent size for a clitoral vibe. Had the product all around been more pleasurable for me I think the size would have been perfect. I included a picture comparing the size to tape a roll to give readers a better idea.

The length is 4 1/2" and the Circumference: 7 1/2" .

The string ray has the plug attached to the end of it and the control pack is seperate this was one thing I liked about the design it makes it easier for cleaning when not attached.

Size and design wise I do think this is something that would be a good match for a beginner or an advanced user. The sting ray sits nicely over ones clit.

Because of its shape it might be something that is a little difficult for some to hide but it is possible to do. I am someone who would bring any toy with me for traveling so yes I would say this could be travel friendly.

The sting ray was a big disappointment for me. Although it has multiple speeds, I would say about 10 different settings, and even on the strongest setting it didn't sting my clit in a good way.

The Spin dial control makes it easy to adjust the speeds and control what settings give you the best sting.

The vibrations on your clit do feel good, they just were not strong enough for me personally.

This toy is not waterproof therefore should not be immersed in water.

The straps tangle and snap easily which influences the performance of the toy because it makes it hard to enjoy the hands free feature which is what appealed to me about the toy to start with.

This toy is not the loudest I have ever used, but it is not the quietest either. I used this toy with my bedroom door closed and underneath a blanket and my room mate told me they could hear it. Personally the sound of this toy was kind of annoying. the loud buzz hurt my ears.

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being highest I would rate the power level of this maybe a 2. No lie and maybe its just my personal taste but it lacked stinging me the way I wanted to be stung. I think sensitive users might enjoy the power, but again I would pick something else if you can because there are better products out there.

The vibrations are extremely buzzy and annoying.

Overall the functions were not up to my standards, although spin dials always make for easy use and that I like.

This product requires 2 Aa batteries not included.

TRP/ Silicone products should be washed with warm water and soap or toy wipes. I found this toy very easy to clean. Silicone toys can also be cleaned with a 10% bleach solution.

I would also only use water based lubes with this product.

This is not a product even after being cleaned that you would want to share with multiple people.


Because this collects lint so easily I would not store it directly with other toys, however, after use I stored the sting ray in a silky bag and then placed it in my toy storage chest, which is also where I store my other toys, however I wrap them all separately.

The packaging of this product is a cardboard box with a picture of a model on it and shows on the front of the box what the product is. So the box is not very discreet at all. Inside the box is a thin plastic strip that the toy is on. I would not recommend storing this vibe back in its packaging. Although the box and plastic are recyclable so that’s a plus.

In my experience with the sting ray it did feel good on my clit, however the speeds and vibrations just were not enough to get me off. The straps made this toy not worth the hassle and because they were so difficult to use it truly ended up not being a hands free toy in the end. This toy maybe is a good idea for a beginner but I do not wish my experiences with this product upon anyone.
