The strap-on, remote controlled vibrator is a good toy for both beginners and advanced users. It can be used in many different situations such as during intercourse, as a teaser toy, forplay or solo. It's a great toy for partner play as your partner can control the vibrator or for clitoral stimulation during intercourse since it's hands-free.

The sting ray easily goes over both legs kind of like under wear, making it hands-free. However, it works just as well without wearing it and simply placing it where you want.

The vibrator is shaped like a sting ray. The wings are great for holding open the labia well while the sting ray's mid section, where the vibrator is located, stimulates the inner labia and clitoris. I love the possibilities with the sting ray. You can wear while playing with a partner or while doing housework. I think most people choose this style in hopes of being able to wear it discretely in public places while their partner controls the vibrations. This is not the toy for that as it's quite bulky and won't fit well under clothing and there is the cord that will be traveling from your clothing to your partner's hand. I would suggest a wireless bullet for that use, not the sting ray.

While it's not suitable for wearing under clothing or in public, it is an exciting toy!

The sting ray is said to be made of TPR Silicone. It is porous. It feels very much like the sticky jelly material. It's hypo-allergenic, phthalates and latex free and has a material safety rating of 6. It's very flexible and squishy. So squishy in fact that it will easily melt in warm temperatures! The sting ray's tail doesn't provide much use. For me, the tail just kind of sits there, being a tail. It doesn't come in contact with my lady parts unless I push it down so I just let it be. It wouldn't be a sting ray without a tail! Well, unless they make tail-less sting rays.

The sting ray does have a jelly like scent. It isn't strong or bothersome to me. I'd also like to mention, on the product page the color says it's red, but mine is actually a very bright pink and in the photo the controller looks red. It's also pink and pretty. If it's of any importance, no, this toy does not taste.

As for texture, the sting ray has none. It has a major drag to it, but that's not a concern for me since it's not designed for insertion. For sliding and gliding the toy across your lady bits you can add a small dab of lubricant to the sting rays under side to lessen the drag. It's also very tacky/sticky, but lubricant helps this too.

While I don't jump for joy over an animal toy, I really love the sting ray. It's 4 1/2 inches long (including the tail which by itself is 1 1/2 inches long), has a circumference of 7 1/2 inches and a diameter of 3 3/4.

The belly protrudes a little where the bullet is located making it perfect for nestling between the labia. The wings are great for holding the labia apart. The wings both stick out 1 1/2 inches. The antennae and tail jiggle when turned on. They serve no purpose for me as I can't feel vibrations in them, but I've heard others using them to tickle and tease. One of my sting ray's antennae were bent and kind of molded to his head!

The straps go around each leg like underwear. The straps are clear and made of the same material as clear bra straps. Plastic, but stretchable. Unlike so many other strap-on vibrators like this, I found these straps to actually fit around my 17 1/2 inch thighs. Even with a comfortable fit, the plastic material causes a bulge when my legs are bent up while lying on my back. It's not uncomfortable though. They are a little tough to adjust and keep from tangling up when you try getting them on.

The straps are adjustable just like a bra strap. When adjusting mine to a tighter fit, the plastic material rolled up under the adjusting plastic piece (just like the piece that you slide to adjust a bra) and I was unable to loosen it all the way without the straps breaking. Adding lubricant to the little adjuster and straps helps some. When I was able to adjust them fully, at their loosest the straps were 18" around. The straps could definitely be bigger! I have trouble getting them on without them tangling and wadding up.

The cord detached from the battery pack which I love because it makes cleaning easier. The cord measures 30" long including the plug in which is only 1" long.

The vibrator is multi-speed. I'm not 100% sure how many speeds there are, but I counted between 10-11. The lowest vibration is pretty buzzy and mild and the rest of them are very strong! They are high pitched and buzzy though. The kind that give you numb hands so it's a good thing it's hands-free! They're still strong enough to please me perfectly. I believe even a less responsive clitoris would at least get some stimulation from it. For those with very unresponsive clitorises, it may be nothing more than a warm-up toy, but for me they're plenty strong enough! It has strong, steady vibrations that carry wonderfully through the entire body of the sting ray No patterns or pulsing.

The battery pack is surprisingly sturdy, especially compared to all the other vibrators like this I've had. It should hold up just fine. When the door to the battery pack is opened it could easily break off it bent back too far so be careful. Being about 3 1/2 inches long, the controller fits in my hand perfectly. The battery pack is where the spin dial controller is located. Right smack on top of it. I can simply adjust the intensity using a finger and haven't ever had it change with movement and being tossed and bumped.

When at the highest setting, it can be a bit noisy, but can't be heard through a closed door and TV. If it touches hard surfaces like a bath tub while turned on, it gets significantly louder just like any vibrator.

I usually have to use the highest setting with most vibrators, but I'm able to use somewhere in between and it be a perfect warm up, then turn it up for an intense O.

It runs on 2 AA batteries and they last for at least 3 good, long sessions although I've used the same batteries for each use.

This is NOT a waterproof toy so always remember to first detach the cord from the control pack before cleaning. This should not be submerged. The vibrator located inside does not come out without breaking the straps, but I'm able to stick my finger in the strap hole and feel the vibrator so water would surely find it's way in.

On the underside of the sting ray where the bullet is located, there are 4 holes. Stupid me thought that the bullet could be removed for easy cleaning and I started pulling the bullet out of the holes which caused the cord to travel down through the mouth and into the stomach. I then realized after the straps were being pulled out of one of the holes that the straps are attached to the bullet! This makes it impossible to fully remove the bullet or the straps without breaking the straps. Now, I have a very tangled up mess and a sting ray with straps, cords and a bullet dangling out of his hole. If you think you can get the straps back in their holes, then you could let the battery dangle from the sting ray so you can clean it. Otherwise, a toy spray cleaner, wipe or washcloth will need to be used. Cleaning could definitely be made easier!

I'd say this makes it high maintenance. I like to fully clean my toys, but since this is an external toy, it's not a huge deal.

This should definitely be stored away from all other toys. The material will melt very quickly if it comes in contact with other toys. Store it in a plastic, silk or other baggie before stashing it away.

Since it's small, it will store easily and take up little space. I just keep it seperate in my small vanity drawer with only lubricants, nipple clamps and other items that wont reactive negatively together.

Some people use pure silicone lubricants with TRP silicone toys, but I don't and wouldn't with this one. It's very risky so I use (and suggest) using water based only. In case you're wondering why lubricant would be needed for an external toy like this, it will help with the drag of this toy and allow you to slide it around your lady parts much easier.

The product page here shows the packaging to be much different from what mine came in. Keep in mind though, I bought this over one year ago so I'm sure the packaging has changed. I find the packaging shown on the product page to be much more tasteful than what mine was. Mine came in a small cardboard box with a totally nude woman all over the front, back and sides of the box wearing the vibrator. I don't know why it's necessary to have naked people on there, but it's changed now.

Since the box adds so much extra bulk than the toy placed in a bag, I wouldn't use it for storage. I threw mine out because it took up too much space and because there was a naked person all over it. The packaging was not discrete and while the one now doesn't look like it shows naked people, it's still not discrete. I would not use it for a gift.

There were no instructions or information on the box mine came in. However, that too could've changed.

My partner and I have thoroughly enjoyed the sting ray. It doesn't get as much use as it did when it was newer, but we still break it out for teasing and it's always one I love to take on long car trips and surprise him with!

We've tried using this during intercourse and it's not good for that. It gets in the way during missionary since it covers your entire vagina from clitoris to hole. I was excited to try it during intercourse, but it works out better for just teasing, warming up or even solo play alone if you're looking for a hand-free clitoral stimulator. We also tried "doggy style" and it was a little in the way unless I pushed it up which just moved it off my lady parts. It's a perfect hands-free tease for partner play though and that's what I was looking for so I'm satisfied.

It works wonderfully. It stays lying down on your lady bits whereas I've had one that stuck straight up in the air! Even after a year, it's still an exciting and fun toy.
