The device has a small, sometimes difficult to locate pressure switch embedded below the silky skin of the device on the outside of larger of the two bulbs, near the top. It is marked by a small "nub", similar to what you feel on a keyboard "home key" ("F" and "J" keys).
- Press and hold to turn the device on to ready mode; there will be a flashing red light below the "nub". Press briefly (click it) to start the vibration.
- Press briefly again (and again) to change between numerous vibration modes. More conveniently, use the remote to turn the vibrations on and to change the pattern.
- Press and hold to shut off; the red light will turn off.

Use it solo, with other toys: anal/vaginal, or with a partner during sex. She uses it in between sex, by herself, though the on and off button gives her issues. (only drawback, but not a show-stopper once you get the hang of it)Ridges on the underside of each bulb seems to be there to help hold the toy in place.
