Shh! I'm hunting for wabbits...

The Jopen Vr7 is a luxury vibrator that lives up to its word! With dual functioning capabilities you can have rotations, vibrations or both. The rabbit design hits its mark with alarming accuracy and has a powerful kick: possibly too powerful for those of us with more sensitive parts but amazing for those of us with clits of steel.

Use

I held some pretty unrealistic expectations for the Vr7 (thanks to all of the amazing reviews out there) and had expected it to be the perfect toy. While it might not be the perfect toy for someone of my preferences it has quickly become one of my favorite vibrators and I'm certain it may easily fall to #1 for other vibrator enthusiasts out there.

Quiet, discrete, and powerful, the Vr7 is certainly an amazing toy. Its buzzy vibrations and rotating tip leave something for everybody and good variation in the settings means that it can get me off gently as well as please my Power Queen of a partner. This toy is best suited for vaginal penetration. While I am a huge fan of grinding against the shaft of my other vibrators, the Vr7 is not my weapon of choice in this endeavor. For penetration, however, the Vr7 is now my go-to toy.

Material / Texture

The Vr7 is made of an un-textured, velvety, bright magenta silicone. While the body safe, heat-retaining, non-porous materials are a huge plus, if you're like me and picky about the colors of your toys or are not a fan of pink-spectrum toys, its shade might put you off a bit. Though, I'd like to think the quality of the toy more than makes up for the color.

As the Vr7 is made of silicone it is a huge lint and hair magnet. While a good rinse tends to rid it of debris you have to be careful with it: just setting it down on the bed sheets means that your toy will soon be a fuzzy mess. It has a faint plastic-y smell to it but that's only if you hold it straight up to your nostrils. It tends to be very light and is a sterile, clean sort of smell. It smells slightly more than the other silicone toys in my collection but it is by no means a powerful scent so if you have a sensitive nose, don't worry.

Since the shaft of the Vr7 is relatively plush and has a bit of flexibility to it, I imagine it would be a good beginner’s toy. It has much more give than my Fun Factory Tiger, a toy which, although similar in size to the Vr7, leaves you feeling fuller. It also has no textures, so if you're sensitive to textures the Vr7 is a good toy for you.

There is a seam that bisects the Vr7 but its texture is unnoticeable when inserted as well as being difficult to see.

Design / Shape / Size

While rabbit vibrators tend to be hit-and-miss based on an individual's anatomy, I found that the Vr7 hit all my parts with stunning accuracy. The clitoral arm hit my clitoris so perfectly; in fact, that I often times had to push it aside with my finger because I found some of the higher settings just a little too overwhelming. Then again, I run hypersensitive and tend to prefer deeper, rumbly vibrations. However, if you're like my partner and enjoy powerful, pinpointed, buzzy vibrations, this is toy will be a dream for you.

I imagine this vibrator would be good for beginners because of its average size (8 and 1/4 inches of full length, 4" insert-able length with a diameter of 1 and 1/2") and the plushness of its shaft. The Vr7 is forgiving, and while it doesn't leave you with a 'full' feeling that other toys might, its shape and size are by no means small or unappealing. In fact, the tapered-head design works well with its rotation function. If you prefer to have something more firm against your cervix, the Vr7 may not be for you but I found that the curved design of this toy managed to hit both my g-spot and clitoris with alarming accuracy.

This toy comes with its own little black carrying case which could quite easily fit the charger, the Vr7 and possibly a couple other toys as well. The vibrator itself though is hardly discrete. Its shape and color, while futuristic and innovative, is still functionally obvious to anybody past puberty.

The Vr7 is especially suited to travel since it has a convenient travel lock, charging device and its own carrying case. So if you’re like me and frequently jet-setting, this is a good toy for you.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Vr7 has two buttons. The top button controls the rotating shaft of the toy. It wriggles the head of the toy in little circles that range from a medium-paced 'rubbing' of the g-spot to a faster-paced 'flicking' of the g-spot. You can vary the pace of the toy by how long you press and hold onto the function button. Another quick press to the button and the rotating shaft will power down quickly. This quick one-button shut off (or two if you're using both functions) is very handy just in case you get interrupted or, if you're like me, become hypersensitive after orgasm and want the toy off ASAP. I am a big fan of using my kegals during play and squeezing the toy with my vaginal muscles, this does not seem to have an effect on the rotating shaft.

The bottom button on the Vr7 controls the clitoral vibrating head or 'rabbit' part of the vibrator. The lowest setting is pretty intense for more sensitive folk like me, though I personally find I can get by. Like the upper button, pressing and holding the bottom button will increase the intensity of the vibrations. These are powerful, buzzy vibrations that only seem to grow more and more intense--so intense that the vibrations even carry into the handle of the toy. The Vr7 would be perfect for someone who has a 'clit of steel' or prefers really powerful, buzzy vibrations to deeper rumbly ones.

The travel-lock is quite possibly my favorite function to this toy. Pressing and holding both buttons on the toy for 4 seconds will ensure that the Vr7 doesn't accidentally come to life. The lock is removed the same way, by pressing and holding both buttons for 4 seconds. As someone who travels frequently, the fact that this vibrator is rechargeable, waterproof and travel-lockable is extremely appealing and makes it an overall hardy toy.

It is important to note that this toy has NO patterns in its vibrations. So if you are someone who prefers a toy with patterns the Vr7 is probably not for you.

As far as noise is concerned, the rotating shaft is slightly louder than the buzzing but both are relatively quiet under the sheets and most definitely cannot be heard outside the door. This is amazing when you consider just how powerful the Vr7 is.

The battery life on the Vr7 also seems to be rather hardy. I have played with it 3 times and have not yet had to recharge it. It also recharged very quickly outside the box. The pamphlet said it would be done with its initial charge in 3 hours but the red light indicator vanished more quickly than that. This power-toy had finished charging in approximately two hours.

Care and Maintenance

The care of this toy is relatively easy. The Vr7 cleans up nicely with just a little antibacterial soap and warm water or some of your favorite toy cleaners/wipes. You shouldn't boil or put this toy in the dishwasher because of the risk of damaging the motor in the toy.

As I mentioned before this toy is a complete lint and hair magnet, but a quick rinse before use and you shouldn't have to worry about any hangers-on.

Since this toy is made of silicone you want to avoid silicone and oil-based lubricants and just stick with water-based ones instead.

For storage you can either use the box it came in (which is lovely in itself) or you can use the black travel pouch provided.

Packaging

The packaging that came with this vibrator are nice enough that I didn't throw mine away. It's made of a sturdy, laminated cardboard that is white with elegant purple logos on the top and sides. While there is a picture of the vibrator (and selling spiel) on the bottom, it really goes seldom seen.

It also states that the toy comes with a one-year warranty and optional ten-year warranty I assume you can purchase from the Jopen website.

Overall, the box would make for a classy gift and good storage.

Thank you for the great review. While it's nice to have the rotating feature, I still prefer a rabbit that's able to stimulate both my G-spot and clitoris at the same time e.g. the Vr5.5.
