Sometimes Noisy is okay...

I would say this unit was on the north side of pretty good. I wasn't screaming on the mountain top, but I will put it to use again.
Good size, multiple speed settings.
As I mentioned - it's a little on the noisy side.

When I first turned this on, I thought "Oh no, this is too loud" and actually turned it right off, because I was sure the kiddos would hear it and wake up to come see what was going on. However, I always give things at least a second try and amazingly once contact was made, it got incredibly quieter. Not sure why or how but it turned out the be a great little toy! I did notice that by pressing the case together really tight (after installing the batteries), the "bee" effect was brought down a little bit as well.

I was happy with the large opening for the finger rest, allowing both male and female hands usage. The unit is compact - fits in the palm of your hand. It was the shape of Wishbone that drew me to it. It is a sort of odd shape for a device like this but proved to be greatly effective in its design. But it is definitely something you need to keep out of site, because it will raise some eyebrows.

The on-off button is easy to use, a simple push button that clicks through the multiple speed setting then off. I personally like push buttons better the switches, especially on these sorts of devices. Mostly because I can remember which tick mark is which, and in the dark you can't really see something that small. The multiple speed settings were a bit surprising as I was shocked (although pleasantly) at the intensity. Each setting is not just a small amount above the last, but a huge step, creating an escalation effect.

It does require special batteries as a result of its compact size. I am interested to see how long the batteries will last. All in all, I would say it is a pretty decent little device, especially for it's price range.
Follow-up commentary
The noise level is still a bit of an issue, but it is fun toy to bring out every once in while, when we know the kids are SOUND asleep!
