The Wish-bone by Doc Johnson is small vibrator that can be used for all over body stimulation, including but not limited to nipples, perineum, testicles, penis, clitoris and more. It can also be inserted vaginally just a bit. Wish-bone can be used to tease and arouse the external anal area, but it is not advised to insert it anally, because the base is not much bigger than the rest of the toy.

Wish-bone runs on 2 N batteries, which are included.

Wish-bone is ideal for users who dislike texture and who enjoy applying pressure with their toys. It will also work well for those who like vroomy power, but prefer buzzy vibrations over rumbly and who don’t need to worry too much about having an extremely quiet toy.

Wish-bone is made entirely of ABS plastic. ABS plastic has a safety rating of 8, and is a food-grade, hypoallergenic, latex and phthalates free material.

It’s nonporous, has no odor, is totally rigid and firm, and completely smooth. It has a seam that goes up one side and down the other, but it isn’t bothersome. Wish-bone doesn’t collect any lint, fuzz or stray hair no matter where it ends up.

This plastic toy glides easily across the skin with no lubrication, and is hard enough to allow the user to apply as much pressure as they need to during use.

Wish-bone is a small, discreet toy. It isn’t immediately discernible as a sex toy, but it does have the Doc Johnson logo on it. The basic design of Wish-bone resembles a fat bullet with a wishbone on the handle. The idea is for the user to put one finger through the wishbone to manipulate the toy.

The tip of the bullet body does taper down into about a ¾” point. This will provide somewhat pinpointed vibrations to those who need it.

The wishbone style handle comes off the toy with a ¼ turn, and the batteries are inserted as shown on the instructions. If the handle is closed tightly, Wish-bone is completely waterproof.

The Wish-bone is controlled by one push button in the middle of the bullet body. It has 3 power levels, with no patterned settings. For standardization purposes, I use the Je Joue MiMi Generation I to gauge vrooms and bees.

The settings of the Wish-bone are as follows:

1 – Low – 2 vrooms, 2 bees – comparable to MiMi on level 2
2 – Medium – 2.5 vrooms, 3 bees – comparable to MiMi between levels 2 and 3
3 – High – 3 vrooms, 3 bees – comparable to MiMi on level 3

The vibrations are fairly buzzy, and though they are focused in the tip of the toy they can be felt throughout its length. When in use, your hand may feel tingly or numb from the vibrations; however when the tip of the toy is pressed firmly against any part of the body, the vibrations are not felt nearly as much in the handle. The vibrations transfer well to the intended area.

ABS plastic is famous for being extremely low maintenance. All ABS plastic toys can be used with any kind of lubricant, so feel free to use as much or as little of your favorite lube with the Wish-bone.

It can be stored almost anywhere due to its small size. Store your Wish-bone in its original packaging if you like, or in a toy pouch, or in an old sock, a plastic baggie, or just in a drawer or toy box. Be sure to store your toy out of direct sunlight and in a cool place. Always remove the batteries before storage to prolong their life and prevent corrosion.

Keeping Wish-bone clean is very easy, it can be wiped with a toy wipe for a quick cleaning, but that won’t be a good substitute for a thorough washing with warm water and soap. You can also use your preferred toy cleaner on this toy. Since Wish-bone doesn’t have any texture it is a “no muss no fuss” kind of toy. If you ever need to sanitize your Wish-bone, just swipe it with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol.

The Wish-bone’s theoretical design is fantastic. You slip your middle (or index) finger through the wishbone shape, and it’s perfectly lined up to hold the toy and push the control button with simple, one-handed operation. However in actual use, I found it very difficult to use one-handed.

My hands are small, and my fingers are very slender. I can almost fit two of my fingers in the wishbone handle. The ABS plastic is also extremely smooth, with no texture, so that made the Wish-bone very slippery and hard to keep a good grip on. For me, between my issues with my finger slipping around in the handle, and the rest of my hand slipping around on the actual toy, I found it very difficult to maneuver the toy. This is definitely a toy for larger hands. It was easy to push the button though, even during use, and I had no issues with accidentally pushing it when I didn’t want to.

My other issue with the toy is the buzziness of the vibrations. I prefer middle of the road vibrations externally; not too rumbly or they’re a bit painful, but not too buzzy either. MiMi is my go to clitoral vibrator, and her middle of the road power is perfect for me. Wish-bone is just too buzzy for me to enjoy. There are three vrooms of power there, but I just can’t feel it because it’s too buzzy. After climaxing a few times, and becoming more sensitive, I could feel the buzzy vibrations from Wish-bone; so this is a toy that might work well for those who become very sensitive after climaxing and need something a bit gentler or with a lighter touch.

Its long, slim body allows it to be easily and comfortably used for dual stimulation, whether during intercourse or with a penetrative toy. All in all this is not a bad little toy. It will work best for more sensitive users and for those with larger hands.
