Magic Wand Rechargeable - massager by Vibratex - review by Nissa Nissa

Let me preface this by saying that I have ALWAYS been a fan of the "Magic Wand". I bought my first one over 10 years ago when it was still branded by Hitachi, so when my favorite toy bit the dust, I was heartbroken. I had two choices, to buy a replacement, which I was having second thoughts about based on the way it "died". So instead, I decided on the Magic Wand Rechargeable, the updated version featuring multiple settings and patterns which is a massive improvement over the "low-high" settings on the original.

The toy comes in the standard Magic Wand box, which is long and rectangular and in no ways discreet. Those in the know will know what this toy is on sight. Inside, you'll find the wand and the charging cable which resembles your regular AV cable that you would use for dvd players. My wand came with a small charge, enough for a quick session.

First thing I noticed, apart from the three soft buttons on the handle of the wand, was the soft silicone head which is a bit pillowy. A big upgrade from the porous and rigid plastic head of the original. My first thought is that this new softer head while it would be easier to clean, I wouldn't be able to focus the vibrations on my clit. I was wrong. The head is firm enough that the vibration carried through the entire surface without causing overstimulation like the original can.

The toy is still substantial. If you have ever held the original, you know that it could potentially be used as a weapon in a pinch. I'm kidding of course, but do take into account that as the play session gets longer, the toy might engage a few extra muscles.

When I received this toy, I hadn't been playing for a while, so the fabled clit of steel that the original magic wand is suggested to give had begun to wear off. My original thought was that, oh, I'm clearly suited to the second vibration pattern because that one has the same intensity as the original setting that I use. WRONG. I turned on the toy and could feel a lovely rumble vibration in my hand. With little warm up in my solo session and barely a bit of teasing, I was there. I was there in a BIG WAY. The best part is that I wasn't overstimulated like other toys; the soft silicone head had distributed the vibration enough that I was ready for round two.

I found that I kept to the low setting and medium setting when I was having trouble reaching orgasm or needing a "quickie". I've primarily used it for solo play and with a dildo, but usually, I will use it alone for clitoral stimulation laying back in bed with my legs apart.

Unlike the original magic wand, the head of the product is easy to clean and doesn't seem to discolor from age.

The first vibration setting is enough for a slow and building orgasm, one that will creep up in the shadows then wrap its arms around you in a heavenly loving embrace where your heart is pounding, and for a second you feel as though you're among the stars.

The second setting is a bit more intense with the same rumble of the first; this is closer to the "low" setting of the original magic wand which was my go-to. For me, the experience grabs you and pulls you to orgasm which can be a hit or miss, but it really depends on how you use it. I use this setting if I want to get there quickly.

The third vibration setting is still more intense, but now leaning into the more buzzy vibration which is rather nice when you factor it into the patterns, which I'll talk about more below, but as a standard setting, this will satisfy you if that is your niche, and you have gained that fabled clit of steel.

The fourth and final setting is close to the original "high" setting and buzzy. I think it's a bit overkill for me and I can't really think of anyone that might enjoy this, but your mileage may vary.


As for the patterns which I ADORE they are as follows.

The first pattern is a short-short-long sort of cha-cha that is incredibly pleasurable especially if you're having troubles reaching orgasm from the normal vibrations.

The second pattern is more of a steady pulse which is also great for reaching orgasm, but it's a bit more intense than the normal vibration settings. The small reprieve that each pulse allows you can either bring you closer or keep you edging.

The third pattern is similar to the second, but with a quicker tempo which might be a little overwhelming for your first orgasm, but could easily bring a quick second orgasm in my experience.

The fourth pattern is a steady building wave that is great for warming up or using with an insertable toy. I like to ride a nice filling dildo while using this on my clit.

All ladies know there are so many types of orgasms from the lightning-quick yet unfulfilling to the slow building, "I might have seen a deity" type. This toy gives me consistently amazing orgasms especially on the first and second settings, and it's gentle enough that I am able to reach a second and third quickly without much issue.
