True love - rabbit vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by markeagleone

This is a vibrator that I ordered for my wife. We have always used the toys we have received as a couple, but I do have a bit higher hope with this one. I am hoping someday she will pull this one out and give it a good workout on her own. On to the review:

This particular vibrator is named True Love. It is made by Cal Exotics. I don't think there could ever be a better name that describes the feelings a toy actually creates. With eight different speeds of rotation and vibration, let alone three different functions of each, how could it be a miss?

This vibrator is perfect for both solo and couples use. I do think it is more towards the more experienced user, due to its size, but is not difficult to operate for even the beginner, who wants more. More is exactly what you'll get. This one deserves a trophy for best in action!

This vibrator is a work horse. It has a butterfly to work the clitoris, while its shaft has beads that rotate around. If that's not all, the head also rotates to give the inside of the vagina multiple areas and forms of stimulation. That's not all! This toy is 100% waterproof.

This vibrator is made from plastic and TPR. TPR is a combination of plastic and rubber polymers, which give the toy qualities that none of the individual materials can make. Both plastic and TPR are Hypo-allergenic. They are also phthalate and latex free. Anyone out there should be able to grab this one.

There was no real smell to this toy on arrival. It is soft to the touch, and this particular blend of TPR offers less resistance to being rubbed, compared to a rubber eraser.

The color for the plastic components is a soft pink. The beads are a darker colored pink and the TPR covering is clear.

The head of the vibrator is crafted into the shape of a real penis head. There are multiple grooves, nubs and design shapes on the shaft and the clitoral stimulator. As far as having every sensation in the book being thrown at you, this one covers them all.

OK, this is going to be a bit hard, but I will give it a try.

This vibrator is 10 inches in length. It has an insertable length of 5 3/4 inches(butterfly to tip). The handle is 2 3/4 inches long and the hard plastic base extends 2 5/8 inches into the sleeve. The shaft has varying diameters up to 1 1/2 inches. The butterfly, as stated before, is 5 3/4 inches away from the tip. The butterfly extends about 1 inch off of the shaft and sits at a 30 degree angle away from the shaft. It has 2 antennae that are about 3/4 of an inch and slope inward, towards the body. The butterfly is 3 inches long, from antennae to the connecting point to the base. The handle has three ridges for improved hand control. The control box sits 3/8 inch off the base and is roughly 1 1/8 by 2 inches, slanting outward to the base.

The head of the toy is somewhat flexible up to the beads, which are 2 1/4 from the tip. There are three rows of beads, with the center set being the biggest and the two outer rings, the same size. The bead housing is 1 1/8 inch long, and directly after, there is no hard feature, for 1 3/8, until the housing inside the sleeve arrives.

Right under the head, the shaft is swirled, until the beads. On top of that portion, there is a flower, with small round nubs and flower petals. On both sides of the shaft, slightly raised, are the words True Love.

The butterfly is extremely well detailed. It has two eyes and a smiling mouth. The wings are also textured and have ten small, round nubs on the insides of the wings.

The battery cover, at the very end of the housing, is round. There are multiple ridges to aid in opening the battery compartment.

Overall, the vibrator is light, even with batteries installed, for its size. The weight is centered at the handle, which adds comfort and ease of control.

This vibrator is waterproof. Yes, you can take it for a swim. On testing it, there was no sign of water intrusion in the battery compartment. The amount of sleeve material that covers the extended base also is enough to keep water out of both the rotation motor and the butterfly vibrator.

This vibrator has eight different speed settings for both the rotation and the butterfly clitoral vibrator. It has two control buttons, one up and one down, for each. It also has an on/off button. It also has a function button. The function button causes it to rotate in one direction, rotate about one full turn and then back, or 1/4 rotation, back and forth. It also causes the butterfly vibrator to, vibrate constant, alternate between the set speed and off rapidly, or alternate about every three seconds.

The variations in speed and vibration are excellent. When you are holding it and moving up the speeds or vibrations, you begin to wonder if this one will blow itself apart. The noise it puts out on rotate is similar to a kids small electric car. The vibrator is between a battery operated shaver and an electric shaver.

The control panel is very well designed. It makes easy speed changes and function changes, just by the feel of the button locations. It does help to become acquainted with them before hand.

Care and maintenance of this toy is simple. You cannot boil it, so soap and water do fine. You can also use a toy cleaner, if needed. There are no major cracks or crevices to worry about. Always remember to wear a condom if you share, but I recommend not sharing.

This vibrator is only compatible with a water based lube. We tried aphrodisiac climax bursts for the first time and it worked wonderful. It is a change from our usual cooling bursts product.

This vibrator requires three AA batteries. Make sure you have spares on hand. This toy seems to use them a bit more, but for the functions and power, no complaints. There is a battery tray inside the base. You can pull it out using the convenient red pull tab, just make sure the tab is tucked inside when closing. Remember to remove the batteries when not in use.

There is also an o-ring that seals the battery compartment. Make sure it is present and in working order before taking his for a swim. Also, remember to have it tightly sealed when you clean it.

My wife and I store ours in the original packaging. If you have a toy box or use a dresser drawer, I recommend sealing it in a plastic zip-lock bag. It is a bit prone to dust collection. Remember to clean it before and after each use and to store it dry.

The packaging this toy came in is in no way discreet. There is a picture of the vibrator on the front and back and one side. The package lists the name and says love, happiness, health and vitality. It also states that it is the gold standard for quality and innovation. It states that it is made by California Exotics and manufactured in Taiwan. It is packaged in the United States.

The toy does come with an instruction manual. The toy is stored in a plastic cover that is molded to fit the toy. The box is 12 1/2 inches high by 2 inches deep and 4 3/4 wide. There is also a 1 inch top, that allows it to be hung from a hook.

As I stated earlier, I ordered this toy to give my wife the best experience I could. I can actually say that I think I have managed that very easily. We didn't even get to browse the different functions. This toy set her into orbit too fast for that. The butterfly started to tease her with the antennae, and once fully inserted, the head and the body went to work quite fast. The rotation of the balls and the movement of the head drove her crazy. It was nice to see that I could give her the pleasure she truly deserves. I believe this one, so far, is the trump card in our deck of toys. She really does deserve the best and this toy is on top. On to my wife's point of view:

This True Love Rabbit arrived and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I know of my husbands quest of finding the perfect toys, I just was not ready for the massive sizes and many features of the toys he was going to be choosing. I did take this one out of the package immediately, only to see what it could do.

For any novice (like myself) it is intimidating to look at, as well as handling. True Love is not extremely heavy, but it does weigh more than your standard vibrator. To give an example of the size of this thing, the battery cap that I unscrewed is the same size as one of those economy sized aspirin bottles. The batteries were easy enough to insert, but the next few things that happened, made my jaw drop.

I was able to turn on the movement feature first, the tip of shaft began twisting and the balls were turning and I thought I was going to be a goner for sure. I hit the arrow up button again and again, amazed that it kept increasing. I thought it would never stop, eight clicks later it had maxed out on the tip twisting and "pleasure beads" turning. I thought that the "butterfly" was only going to do a simple flutter. Wrong! This simple, innocent looking butterfly had eight vibration speeds of his very own. Now the next step (after picking my jaw up off the floor) was to combine the two functions and watch what happened. "Holy crap! This thing is going to kill me" is what I said to my husband. His reply? Well, it was, "Hey did you know that the "F" button in the middle does something too?"

"Oh hell no", I said. So, I hit it of coarse, I hit it three times to be exact. This thing also does more! It rotates those "pleasure beads" in three different settings of different turning combinations. Not only was my jaw on the floor, now my eyes had popped out and were somewhere on the floor.

I wrote out my "will" and replaced all my body parts, as my husband eagerly waited to get started with the nights activities. This thing had me worried, especially because on low, it sounds like a loud electric razor and at high it sounds like my very loud electric knife. I figured the whole neighborhood was going to hear the thing.

I will say that I think I disappointed my husband on our first few go-rounds with this toy. We didn't get out of the lowest settings before I was begging for mercy. I could not handle it, this thing had me climbing the walls. Not in pain, mind you, but in *gasp* pleasure. You can feel everything with this toy, from the twisting of the tip, to the flower rubbing during thrusting, to the busy butterfly fluttering on my clitoris. I don't even think the "f' ing" or "F" button was ever used.

This is most definately a toy that I will need to try much more so that I can get to experience all that it has to offer. I would recommend this for beginners that are adventerous and know what they are getting into and also to advanced users, just for the sheer options this rabbit has to offer.

This will be used more then most in our collection. I will be honest, after this rabbit, I looked at a new vibrator I had purchased and flatly said, "What, that's it?" I am now less than thrilled with some of my collection, as this True Love has ruined me for them.
