Lingua - rabbit vibrator with licking stimulator by EdenFantasys - review by CuriousFun

I was intrigued by Lingua from my very first time browsing EdenFantasys, but was a little iffy about buying it at first, just because it's a little different and I wasn't sure I'd enjoy it. However, as I continue on my journey of exploration with sex toys, I've found myself willing to be a little more adventurous in terms of the types of sensations I'm open to trying. When the price dropped on Lingua, I decided that I was ready to give it a shot.

Lingua arrived with several other purchases in Eden's usual innocent-looking brown cardboard box. Not even the return address (Web Merchants Inc.) will give nosey neighbours, kids, or housemates any inkling of the nature of what's inside your package, so those with privacy concerns can rest easy.

The Lingua itself was contained inside a very classy, discreet box. It has an outer sleeve that says "LINGUA" on the front and back, as well as the EdenFantasys logo with the words "the new intimacy," but it doesn't mention anything about it being a vibrator or sex toy on the box (though it does mention vibration patterns and the "tongue wheel" in small lettering on the back), so I'd say it's very discreet. The outer sleeve slips off to reveal a plain, sturdy, classy black box, so if the outer sleeve isn't discreet enough for you, you can always discard it and just hang onto the inner box. It would work well for storage, so long as you have the space for it. The packaging is also very giftable. Inside this classy packaging sits the Lingua itself in a molded plastic insert, along with a black USB charging cable and a black mesh drawstring bag for storage. There were no instructions, but the controls are pretty self-explanatory.

Upon removing the Lingua from its box, I was impressed (though not surprised) by the high-quality feel of its silicone. If you've used any of Eden's other toys in this purple/magenta silicone, you'll know what to expect. It's velvety smooth and glides easily against the skin with very little drag. The shaft is smooth with a bulbous, G-spot targetting head, and is firm, inflexible, and untextured. It has an insertable length of roughly 5 inches, and a circumference of about 4 3/4 inches at the widest point (the bulge at the head), so it's a bit girthier than most of my other rabbits. However, what makes Lingua unique is its clitoral stimulator. Rather than stimulating the clitoris via vibration like a traditional rabbit, Lingua has a little wheel with soft, petal-shaped silicone projections on it. As the wheel spins, it drags those soft little silicone "tongues" over your clitoris, and is supposed to imitate the sensation of a lover licking your clit.

The Lingua has two buttons. The bottom button controls the vibrations in the shaft (there are 7 different modes to choose from, including three intensities of steady vibration and several patterns), and the top button controls the clit wheel (there are four different modes to choose from, of varying speeds, directions, and patterns). To activate (or deactivate) each feature, you simply hold down the button for a few seconds. The shaft and clit wheel are controlled completely independently. The vibrations in the shaft are quite strong and have a nice rumbly quality to them. I knew right away it would be a hit with my G-spot. The clit wheel spins in four different modes, including two different steady speeds (one slower, one faster), and two modes that alternate speed and direction. The shaft vibrations are extremely quiet. The clit wheel makes a bit of a high-pitched mechanical sound, but it's not overly loud and shouldn't be audible through a closed door.

I was very impressed with how soft and flexible the silicone petals on the wheel were, though I still wasn't quite sure how they'd feel on my clit. The curved area that attaches the clit wheel to the shaft has some degree of flexibility, but it's not super bendy. Overall this is a pretty rigid, inflexible toy (the flexible petals on the wheel and the slight flexibility of the curved neck of the clit arm are the only parts of this toy that bend at all), which had me a little concerned about how it would fit my anatomy, but overall I thought it looked like an extremely fun toy, and I was eager to take it for a spin (pun intended).

Although the Lingua arrived with a charge, I plugged it in to ensure it was fully-charged before using it for the first time (nothing worse than a toy dying in the heat of the moment!). Once charged, I took it off to the bathroom sink for a quick wash. As this toy is mostly silicone (aside from the white ABS plastic around the wheel) and is waterproof, it's very easy to clean. You can use either mild soap and water or a toy cleaner (I use toy cleaner). Since this has mechanical components, you cannot boil it or run it through the dishwasher to sterilise it (the heat would destroy the mechanics), but if you feel the need to sanitise it, you can wash it with a 5-10% bleach solution or wipe it down with rubbing alcohol (just be sure to rinse thoroughly if you use one of those methods). The most challenging part of cleaning this toy is the wheel, though I haven't found it especially difficult to clean. I just use a soft-bristled toothbrush to get in the grooves, and I typically will turn the wheel on and hold the toothbrush to it as it spins, to ensure I get every section clean.

Once my new toy was charged and clean, I headed back to my bedroom and settled down on my bed on top of a towel with my head and upper body propped up on a pile of pillows. As usual, I pulled up a sexy short story on my phone to get the juices flowing. I turned on the shaft vibrations on the Lingua and used the head of the shaft to stimulate my clit as I read. The vibrations felt amazing on my clit and other external lady parts! I really enjoyed the quality of the vibrations, and it had plenty of power. Once I was nice and wet, I threw my phone aside and applied a small amount of water-based lube to the head of the Lingua (as this toy is silicone, you'll want to stick to water-based lubes and avoid oil and silicone-based lubes, as they run the risk of degrading the material). The rumbling shaft slid into my vagina easily and comfortably. Despite the fact that this is a bit girthier than many of my other toys, I found that I didn't need any warm-up with a smaller toy to be able to insert this comfortably.

I enjoyed the toy's rumbly vibrations inside me for a few moments (the vibrations felt awesome on my G-spot, just as I thought they would) before turning my attention to the clit wheel. I realised that I hadn't really lubricated either the wheel or my clitoral area, so I pulled the shaft part way out and added a squirt of lube to my clit and to the wheel, then pushed the toy back in and held down the button to turn on the wheel. The wheel started to spin, and I realised that all my concerns about it not fitting my anatomy were for naught. "WOW" was the only thought that came to mind when that wheel started spinning its little tongues against my clit. It felt absolutely incredible and totally unlike anything else I'd ever felt on my clit. It didn't feel exactly like receiving oral sex (it was actually a good deal more intense than any oral sex I've ever experienced), but it wasn't a totally dissimilar sensation. Like most amazing sexual sensations, it's difficult to describe, but my clit definitely loved it. I tried out the different modes, and somewhat to my surprise, discovered that I enjoyed the modes that changed speed and/or direction more than the steady settings. The changes in speed and direction kept things interesting. I set the shaft vibrations to a quick pulsating setting, and then just sat back and let the combination of fantastically pleasurable sensations carry me away. I found that I didn't have to thrust the toy or really do anything but keep a finger lightly on it to hold it in place. It wasn't long before I had an incredibly intense orgasm.

I was VERY impressed with my first date with the Lingua and was happy that I'd been brave enough to try something a little new and different.

I've continued to love pretty much everything about the Lingua. The vibrations in the shaft are awesome, and they feel great all over my body, from my nipples to my inner thighs to my clit to my G-spot. I always love it when an internal toy works equally well to tease and arouse externally prior to insertion (it means I have one less toy to clean when I'm done). The clit wheel continues to amaze me with how good it feels. It's such a simple concept, but I think it's brilliant, and it delivers in a big way. I'm accumulating a decent collection of sex toys, but I don't have anything that compares to the clit sensations this toy provides. As a result, I've been reaching for this one quite often ever since that first date. The clit stimulation really is amazing! The awesome licking wheel combined with the wonderful, strong vibrations in the shaft that perfectly target my G-spot have been giving me fantastic orgasms time and time again.

I'd classify this toy as being pretty intense, especially in its clitoral stimulation. That, combined with the somewhat larger girth of the shaft (it's not huge, but it is a bit wider than many rabbits) and overall firmness of the toy would make me hesitant to recommend this to absolute beginners. I think this would have been a bit much for me right out of the gate. But I'd definitely recommend this toy to those who have a little more experience with sex toys and feel confident that they're not going to be unpleasantly overwhelmed by the size, firmness, and intensity of this beautiful pleasure gadget. Especially if you're interested in trying something a little different for your clit, I highly recommend the Lingua!

I have noticed that sometimes my pubic hair gets sort of drawn into the little gap where the wheel attaches to the clit arm. It doesn't get wrapped up in the wheel or tangled, and I can pull it out easily and painlessly, but I figured I'd mention it. While I haven't been doing any grooming down there lately, my natural pubic hair is not very thick, so it's possible that someone with more pubic hair might encounter bigger issues with this than I do. Honestly, I enjoy this toy so much that I'd be willing to start trimming my pubes again to accommodate this toy, but it's turned out not to be necessary for me. Still, it's something to maybe be aware of if you're interested in this toy, have a lot of pubic hair, and have an aversaion to trimming/shaving.

The only part of this toy that actually vibrates is the shaft, and the vibrations feel very concentrated in the bulge at the head (though you can feel some residual vibrations throughout the shaft). I'm marking the clit wheel as 2 even though it doesn't vibrate, just because it provides such strong, excellent stimulation (I'd mark both the shaft head and the clit wheel as a 3 if I could, just because they both provide very strong stimulation).

The orgasms I have with this toy are awesome! The dual stimulation this toy provides is pretty magical.
