Surprisingly disappointed

If you only need a temporary yet decent bullet vibe, this is the way to go. If you want it to last, it's not so great.

Use

This vibrator is great for solo play. It's rather small, so it is best used to stimulate the clitoris or nipples. Mainly for women, but could work for men, to an extent, during foreplay. Also great for solo play in the tub or shower.

Material / Texture

No smell, smooth touch, and, again, I don't see anyone licking a vibrator. The texture doesn't add extra stimulation. This would be a great vibe for beginners, as it is very basic and not very strong.
    • Not porous at all
    • Rigid

Design / Shape / Size

Small enough to fit in a pocket, therefore very discreet and suitable for travel. It's very small, roughly the size of my pinky, and suited more for beginners, but could be a pinch hitter in emergencies for more advanced users. I love that you can see what's inside it.

Functions / Performance / Controls

It only has two speeds: on and off. The vibrations are felt throughout the device, concentrated at the tip. The controls are easy to use and convenient. But this is where my problem comes in. I've had not only one but two of these, and the button soon messed up, requiring the button to be held in place for it to stay on. Both of them had the same problem. It isn't noisy at all, and performs just fine in the water.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use
    • Not enough variety

Care and Maintenance

Easily cleaned with warm soapy water or your favorite toy cleaner. I store it in a drawer in my counter. No experience using it with other toys, and only with water-based lube.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The toy comes packaged in a plastic/foil pouch that isn't reusable. Doesn't make a good gift package, but great to add to a gift bag or basket. Enough instructions to show how to turn it on and clean it.
    • Minimal

Experience

I didn't like that they died within 6 months of sporadic use. It was rather disheartening.
Follow-up commentary
I've yet to be able to take it apart and repair it, even though I still hold out hope that it will be usable again one day. That's just the geek in me. I do love that you can see the motor work when it is on, but it's just not feasible to hold the button precariously long enough for solo play.

    Great review

Thanks for the review! It would be nice if you could go into more detail about how long it worked before the button conked out on you. I'd also like to better know what material it is, what batteries it takes, whether the o-ring visible in the image makes it waterproof or not. It would also be nice if you could do the follow up review more than two days after your original review since the point is to add any changes or later comments about a month after your first review.

Good luck on your toy repairs. I am not handy!

@ Dusk - I did mention that they died in less than six months under "experience," and being that I bought them about a year ago, I think 6 months of non-use is a bit of time for a follow-up. Unfortunately, I didn't purchase them here and was writing the review from my own experience outside this site, posting the reviews some time after purchase. My apologies to you if you disagree with my methods. I hope this clears some things up for you in regards to that.

The o-ring that is visible does seem to be the main waterproofing agent, but I am not certain that the button isn't leaky and the cause of the failure. I can't be sure and didn't attest to that in the review because of the uncertainty. I didn't SEE any water inside the unit, but it doesn't take much to corrode circuitry.

As far as the batteries, it takes three small button cell batteries (not sure off top of my head what type) that are readily available at the watch counter at WalMart.

The material is listed as "plastic" and seems to be ABS plastic, and the gasket and button seem to be high-grade rubber.
