Jumbo life-saver - traditional vibrator discontinued by Pipedream - review by CaliGirl

This life saver is good for anyone, but I highly recommend it for vibrator beginners. It would be a cute little item to throw in a gift basket for a bridal shower. It is thin and long with only one speed option so it isn't very overwhelming. It can be used for vaginal or anal insertion, since it is slick and thin. There is not a widened base so do not let go of it with anal or it could get lost up there, which would be a great story later....but horrifying at the moment!

This is a very hard smooth plastic which is higher up on the safety rating. There is absolutely no flexibility to it. It is slick and can be wiped down with toy cleaner, or with alcohol. I would not wash it in a sink or with water, even though you can,it is not waterproof. You could end up getting water in it and ruining it.

The plastic is very smooth so you probably will not need much lube with it. If you do use lube with it, any kind is safe with plastic. I would stick to a thicker one though, so that it doesn't run into the battery compartment and kill your toy.

The design overall is nice. It is a thinner design that widens to 1.00" at the widest part. The thinner part is only 0.5" so it is definitely on the thin side. The total length is 7.25" long with a insert-able length of 6.75". The base is also the turn style dial. The one thing that you have to be careful with is that the dial is also the battery cap. If you aren't careful, you could end up opening the cap while just trying to turn it on. While I am on the subject of batteries, it does tend to go through them fast. So I would keep plenty of AA on hand. It only uses 2 at a time, but it is a battery guzzler. I also recommend taking your batteries out of all your toys when you are not using them. I keep mine in a separate zip lock baggie. You wouldn't want them to accidentally turn on or even worse have battery acid leak inside if them.

It fits nicely in most purses. You could travel with it, but depends on how shy you are. If they check your bags, it is obvious what it is.

It is a very basic vibrator with only one speed. Like I said before, it is at the base in a turn style dial there are no buttons or switches. Since there is only one speed there is no reason to mess with it, just turn it on and go for it. The only speed is a stronger one that can be felt throughout the whole length of the toy. It is nice and quiet, you don't need to worry abut anyone in the next room hearing it.

This is not waterproof at all! Do not get it near water or let lube into the battery compartment because it will die. You can use any lube with it, just don't get it near the base. To clean it, all you need to do is wipe it clean with alcohol or toy cleaner and then wipe dry. It does come in a cute case that is supposed to look like a life saver case. The case has two little snaps to keep it closed. After cleaning just put it back in the case and it's safe until next time.
