The Rabbit Habit is a wonderful rabbit-style vibrator (i.e. clitoral and vaginal stimulation simultaneously) from the Japanese company Vibratex. The Rabbit Habit is the grown-up cousin of the original rabbit-style vibrator, the Rabbit Pearl. Instead of having a separate battery pack, the Rabbit Habit has a battery pack in the base of the toy that requires 3 AA batteries to operate. It comes in a rather plain plastic box that can be used for storage if you would like, but it is rather flimsy.

One of the biggest upgrades of the toy however, is that it is now made of body-safe and phthalates-free elastomer instead of jelly. Because it is elastomer, the Rabbit Habit can be used with either silicone or water-based lubricant. However, you should avoid using the toy with oil-based lubricants because it will harm the material. Elastomer should be stored away from other jelly and elastomer toys because a reaction can occur that causes them to corrode. Also, even though elastomer is body-safe, it is still a porous material. Therefore, if you plan to share you toy you’ll want to cover it with a condom.

The Rabbit Habit has two functions, rotation as well as vibration. The clitoral attachment (the rabbit) vibrates while the shaft of the toy rotates in small circles. In addition to the rotation of the shaft, there are rotating pearls located at the base of the shaft that are meant to stimulate the vaginal opening. The pearls are tracked, which means that it is far less likely for them to jam during use, which is a typical problem among rabbit-style vibrator.

One fun thing about this toy is that it contains glitter! The Rabbit Habit, as you can see, is a clear purple toy with some pretty sparkly glitter inside. My only complaint would be that you can see some of the cords inside the toy, but overall it’s still cute as a button. Also, if you’re weary of animal-shaped attachments, once the toy is in use you really don’t feel like your clit is being attacked by a bunny. The feeling is so nice that you won’t care what it looks like at all.

It should be noted that the toy is not waterproof or splash-proof. You can clean it with soap and water or toy cleaner, but if you are using soap and water make sure none of the water gets near the battery pack. I just wash my toy with soap and water and haven’t had a problem with water getting into the electrical components of the toy or the battery compartment.

I have seen a couple reviews of this toy talking about the shaft being adjustable (i.e. you can bend it to change the angle of the rotation) however, Vibratex clearly lists in the insert that comes with the toy that toys with fixed beads are not bendable. This may account for the reviews saying that it didn’t last very long. In other words, if you don’t want to break your toy, don’t try to adjust/bend the shaft at all.

I had no problem getting the clitoral attachment to hit my clit, but I do realize that everyone’s anatomy is different. I have noticed that the Rabbit Habit’s clitoral attachment is farther up the shaft than many other similar toys, so if you have had trouble in the past I would encourage you to compare the toys and see if this would work better for you. One of the downfalls, and maybe the only downfall, of the Rabbit Habit is that when both functions are turned on at once both lose a bit of power. Nevertheless, I did not find the loss in power to be substantial enough to decrease the pleasure I got from the toy. I would reason that unless you need Hitachi-like power to get you off, the decrease in power will pose no problem at all for you. Also, if you are thrusting with your fingers resting towards the top of the battery compartment, it may try to slide off. Just grip a little lower or even higher onto the toy itself and it won’t be a problem at all. In fact, depending on how you choose to grip your toys you may not encounter it at all. I had no problem with the rotation or the pearls stopping when I clenched, but my muscles are rather weak at the moment, so if you have muscles of steel this may not be the case for you.

Even if you’re more of a clitoral stimulation kind of person, or more of a vaginal stimulation kind of person you’re sure to love the Rabbit Pearl. I generally enjoy both kinds of stimulation, but having them both together in this fashion is definitely a new and pleasurable experience.

If anything can attest to how fun this vibrator is, it would have to be the fact that I used it around 5 times the first night I owned it. I liked it that much. My personal favorite part would be the rotating pearls as they provide a sensation I hadn't felt before, which to me shows true innovation in design of the toy.

Also, I noticed that my orgasms with the Rabbit Habit are slightly longer than the rest of my toys. That was a big shock to me as I didn't think a particular toy could really change the length of my orgasms, but this one proved me wrong! The orgasms also feel different than any I've ever had, probably due to the unique type of stimulation that the Rabbit Habit provides.
