The Metal Jewels Sweet Curve is a traditional vibrator made by Cal Exotics. Small in size and not too strong a vibe, this toy is perfect for someone who's just beginning to play with toys.




The vibe has a variety of uses, some of which I found more effective than others:

1. Clitoral Stimulation (not strong enough)
2. Vaginal Penetration (comfortable, not overbearing)
3. Anal Penetration (fun to try, just scared that the coating will come off)
4. In Water (although I don't recommend it)
5. Caressing (Personally, I felt this was the best use, overall)
6. Partner Play (It's small enough that you don't need to worry about injury)

The material and texture of the Sweet Curve is great! The vibe is made of a non-porous, smooth, hard, plastic material, and is finished with a bright pink metallic coating. The coating will wear over time, so if you plan on using it for mostly internal use, you can expect it to start chipping over time.

The texture of the vibe is very subtle. It has two elevated curves that contour the sides, and three light ridges right at the base. At the very bottom of the vibe, there is a single 'push-button' that appears to be made of a silicone-like material.



There are no unusual smells to this toy out of the box (which I love because I'm SO sensitive to smell).

It's a great beginner toy based on the size, texture, and overall performance.

I'd have to call this one a "Teaser Toy". The reason is, it's small, lightly curved, and moderately powered. It's enough to pique your interest, but not enough to follow through.

The design is beautiful. It's chic, has a nice textured contour along the sides, and a gentle curve at the tip. When inserted, you can feel the curve--but it isn't enough to really excite the g-spot. The ridges at the end are nice, because they indicate how far it can be inserted, and the girth is perfect for quick thrusts, since it isn't too thick.

You can throw this toy in a travel bag, but don't be surprised if your luggage gets checked. This toy does not have a lock, so security might think your bag has a lot of personality.

The Batteries:
The toy runs on two AAA batteries that fit into a plastic casing:



Putting this casing in, and closing the top is probably the biggest nightmare in terms of preparation! When I opened the cap, the little rubber ring (that makes this toy waterproof) pops out, and it takes me a good five minutes just to re-secure the cap (because it only goes on one way, and needs to be pushed down and then rotated to the left before it's completely secured). Once it was closed, I got to mess with the settings.

The Button:
I don't know about you, but when I get off, I just want the freaking toy to stop. With this toy, you need to click through all seven functions before it turns off. Not a fan of that.

The Noise:
Moderate to loud. Definitely not as loud as some toys I've seen, but also not as quiet as a LELO. Makes sense, it isn't a top-dollar toy.

In Water:
I'm scared to submerge it in water (mostly because I don't want to ruin my rechargeable batteries). The rubber ring that seals the cap fell out right when I opened it for the first time...didn't look too promising.

Easy cleaning and storage!

This toy is made of plastic, so basically you can use it with any kind of lube you like! I didn't use it with lube because it's so smooth, but if you were to use it for anal penetration, I'd definitely recommend it.

Once you're done using the Jewel, clean it with hot, soapy water. Or of course, you can always use your favorite toy wipe!

The Jewel is not made of a sensitive material, so really, you can store it anywhere. I always recommend keeping it in a pouch just so that you're not required to clean it every time before use, in addition to after.

The Jewel came within a plastic mold, inside of a transparent, rectangular plastic, box... I know, a whole lot of plastic. Good news is, you can recycle plastic!

You know, once you've used stronger toys, it's hard to go back to the lighter ones. This one didn't have a very strong vibe, so using it for clitoral stimulation just didn't cut it. So instead, I tried vaginal penetration. The vibe was nice, but it was too skinny to feel the full toy. I found having this one on the inside, and a stronger vibe on my clit was the perfect solution.

I wanted to find a better use for the toy though, so I kept trying different things.


What I found, was that using this toy as a teaser was its most effective use! If you drag this along your body, or your partners body, it yields incredible feelings of excitement. It's not too strong that it's uncomfortable, and it feels awesome on places like the chest, hips, and along the inner thighs.
