The Tickler Vibe from Cal Exotics, is a exotic vibe all its own. While listed on EF under traditional vibes, there is nothing traditional about it. This vibe is an overall vaginal stimulator, it works wonders at stimulating your clit, your vulva and your vagina; it works wonders on your pussy as a whole. I would be leery about recommending this vibe to beginners due to its size and texture, but by all means if your up for the ride, take her for a spin.

This vibe is a traditional hard plastic vibe that has a very interesting sleeve over it. The sleeve is made of TPR; TPR is less porous than cyberskin but more porous than silicone,and this material cannot be sterilized. For the safety of all involved if you plan on sharing pleas cover with a condom. The sleeve is very forgiving and stretchy/squishy, but over all the toy is solid due to the TPR sleeve being placed over a hard plastic vibe. This vibe also has a slight rubbery smell to it, that should lessen after time(it has on my other TPR toys).

This vibe has an interesting design to it. The overall length of this vibe is 8" long with 7" being insertable. It starts out with a bulbed very slightly tapered head that measures about 5" in circumference, it then narrows down to about 4" then expanding again to 5" and finally back down to 4" for the remainder of the shaft. The first bulb, or head has six ridges that continue down to the narrow part between bulbs, the second bulb is covered in little nubs, then it alternates ridges to nubbs, ridges to nubbs the rest of the way down the shaft. The design of this toy provides for a lot of extra stimulation both when rubbing your clit or vulva area and also during penetration. I would say this toy would be suitable for anyone wanting the size and unique texture of this toy. As far as being a discreet toy, if left out on the bed/couch or nightstand it will be noticed as a sex toy so if discretion is necessary you may want to put in your toy box prior to guests.

Not only is the design unique, so are the 10 patterns of vibrations. The first three are a low, medium and high steady vibration. Followed by 7 various pulsation and escalating vibrations.

The various vibrations, with the exception of the escalating, are all the strength of the highest steady vibration. The vibrations are mainly focused in the second bulb of the vibe but they transfer well into the head of the vibe, as well as into the nubbs. This vibe is controlled by one push button located on the bottom of the vibe on the cap, one push turns it on then you have to cycle through the different vibrations to get to off. This is one aspect I despise about multi-function vibes, I wish they all came with a power and function button.

This toy is powered by two AA batteries, and I must say this toy seems to be a bit of a battery hog. I only use rechargeable batteries, but even with them fully charged right off the charger they only last one use in this vibe. This may be remedy by using non-rechargeable batteries, I have read some vibes do not work well with rechargeable.

While this toy is not super noisy on the lowest vibration it is not overly loud on the higher settings, I would suggest some background noise when using this toy if being heard is an issue. Could be heard through a closed door, but not easily, you had to be listening for it.
This toy does claim to be waterproof, but I would say it is more along the lines of splash-proof. While used in the shower no water entered the battery compartment, but submerging this when cleaning left water droplets in the battery compartment.

Given all the ridges and nubbs on this toy I would take extra care when cleaning to make sure you have gotten this toy completely clean, as our juices seem to like to hide around the nubbs and in the creases of the ridges. This toy cannot be sterilized as said before so if sharing take precautions and use a condom to prevent spreading bacteria. To clean this toy you could either use your favorite toy cleaner or antibacterial soap and warm water, and set out to air dry. The TPR material that this toy is made of is a lint magnet so you will want to clean before as well as after use. To store this toy you could keep in a zip lock bag or satin toy bag to help keep the dust bunnies away. You have you choice of either water or silicone based lubes with this toy, so take your pick.

I am not normally prone to vibes with the nubbs like this one, so when I was offered to do a review, I figured why not. This vibe provides a ton of sensations with all the nubbs and ridges. I must say my favorite use for this toy was rubbing my clit and vuvla, the sensation of laying this down between my pussy lips and having the second bulb (where the vibrations are located) rubbing on my clit felt Grrreat. The vibrations are fairly strong which I like plus the added sensation of all the little nubbs on my clit had me cumming. As far as penetration with this toy I am torn, while it feels good being inserted and gently rocked around, I do not think that thrusting would work so well, at least for me. Although some very gentle thrusting did feel good, if it got to vigorous I think it would have caused more irritation than pleasure. Although those of us that like the nubbed texture my thoroughly enjoy this toy for thrusting.
