Vibrating Ray of Sunshine

The Corsar is a strong little vibe with a lot of variety. It works internally or externally and alone or with a partner. It's really cute as well.

Use

The Corsar is a mini g-spot vibrator which can also be used for clitoral stimulation. It works well either way, but be careful if you want to use it anally (Hold on tight! It's not flared).
I think this toy would work for a large range of people because the toy has large range of vibration strength. It starts very low and goes up through eight levels. Which is a lot! As many toys only have three levels.
It's very small in girth and length, which is convenient but may leave some people wanting more. The Corsar has become my go-to masturbation toy. It is also good for partner use because the material is flexible and it won't hurt if you accidentally thrust too hard. You can also use the Corsar as a travel vibe-- it's size is discreet and easy to carry.

Material / Texture

The Corsar is made of 100% silicone with a plastic cap. The surface has some drag to it and I recommend adding water-based lube. Never use silicone lubes with silicone toys. The silicone is squishy at the tip of the vibrator and firmer further down.
The Corsar is mostly smooth with a raised layer around the middle of the shaft. This can be felt going in but isn't noticeable once it is already inserted. I think beginners might like the simplicity but people who enjoy more texture might be disappointed.

Design / Shape / Size

The Corsar's design is simple and to the point. It's thin, long enough to hit the g-spot, and it has the curve to stimulate it as well. The one I got is light yellow with a beige cap.

I really like the size of the Corsar, it's big enough to work, small enough to carry with me, and it fits well in my hand. I only wish that the handle were a little longer and easier to hold on to.

Functions / Performance / Controls

There are two buttons, a plus and a minus. They are well-placed near the base of the shaft and easy to find. The plus turns on the toy and holding it down leads you through the increasing vibration strengths. Once you've reached the highest setting, holding down the plus button again starts the vibration patterns. There are only three pulsing patterns which go from low to high speed. Pressing the minus button takes you back to high continuous vibration, and then you can go down from there.

The battery cap opens easily with half a twist and locks into place. This makes it easy to open and close, but it is not water-proof. I have taken it into the shower and didn't have a problem, but I wouldn't try submerging it. The Corsar takes two AAA batteries and the top of the battery compartment is marked to tell you how they go, but it's a little hard to read in low lighting.

This vibrator is not quiet, but it's also not loud. If you have a roommate, you might not want to use this. But with a closed door no one should be able to hear it outside.

Care and Maintenance

Because of it's smoothness the Corsar is easy to clean with soap and hot water. You can also sterilize it with 10% bleach solution.
It attracts hair and lint so be sure to rinse it off before use and to store it. It's small enough to store easily in a bag or a box.
Use water-based lubes.

Packaging

The Corsar comes in a plastic box within a cardboard box with the Fun Factory logo.
The box is pretty elegant looking with no pictures of naked women. The box of the box is held closed with magnets!

It also comes with an instruction manual and a Fun Factory catalog. There was also a little lube sample enclosed which I did not try because it contains glycerin, but is still thoughtful.
A good idea for storage might be to keep the plastic and cardboard boxes.

Follow-up commentary
This is still my go-to vibrator, and it works as well as the day I got it. It also seems to have a really long battery life, which is always a plus. I've used it repeatedly in the shower with no problems-- but it's definitely not completely waterproof, and not a bathtub toy.

    Looks like a solid toy.

Are the vibrations pretty consistent all over the toy, or are they noticeably more powerful right over the vibrator?
  • Contributor: ladykay
The motor is just below the curved tip, so they're a little stronger in the top half of the toy, but you can still feel them well at the base.
