Wonder massager - pocket rocket discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Pandy

At first, I thought that the wonder massager was an average, ordinary clit massager, but boy was I wrong. The moment this massager arrived in the mail, my boyfriend took it out of its box and started finding as many uses for this toy as he possibly could, both on himself and on me. He found that, on one of the lower settings, (more on those later) the vibrations felt amazing on the head of his penis and along the shaft, and the look on his face was absolutely priceless. Another great place to use this toy is on your nipples, especially if they're very sensitive.

As for it's original purpose as a clit massager, this toy did its job perfectly. The five small heads at the top of the toy are perfect for massaging your clitoris, your vulva, and pretty much every part of the vagina. Although the box says that it can be used for vaginal insertion, I haven't bothered to try because the head of the toy isn't rounded to a tip, so inserting it could cause some trouble, although the ribbing around the handle makes it very easy to keep ahold of.

I wouldn't reccomend this toy for anal penetration, since there's no base on this toy, although that doesnt detract from the toys' quality, or at least not for me. Since this toy is so versatile, I could reccomend it to pretty much anyone from any experience level.

Upon taking this toy out of its box for the first time, I expected there to be a smell, however, there was none. The toy barely has a scent, even when you have it right under your nose, and the smell isn't disgusting or strong- just a light, plastic smell. As far as taste goes, there isn't really a taste to this toy at all, so if you plan on holding this toy in your mouth you won't feel sick to your stomach afterwards.

I really like the texture of this massagers head; it's very smooth, almost like cloth, and it doesn't drag against your skin like some materials might. The plastic in the rest of the toy is also very smooth. There are visible seams running down the side of the toy and around the head, but they are flat and smooth, and pretty much unnoticable unless you're looking at them, otherwise, just by feeling the toy you wouldn't know the seams were there at all. The texture is soft, so it shouldn't be harsh for a beginner, but the smoothness of the plastic might still be pleasing for those who are more advanced.

There are ribs around the handle as I mentioned before, but they don't add much to the experience, other than keeping you from losing your grip on the toy.

On the head of this toy, there are five large, round bumps that stick out quite a bit, which makes them much easier to feel during use, and is a huge plus for me.

As for the materials, this toy, the wonder massager is made out of plastic, which means is non-porous and can be easily cleaned with hot soap and water or rubbing alcohol. Also, since it's not porous, you can use it with any type of lube- silicone based, water based, even oil based, which is definitely a plus. The material safety rating for plastic is an eight, since you can't sterilize this toy by boiling it like silicone or glass.

My favorite thing about this toy, other than how well it worked for me, was how discreet it is. If somebody finds it, they not going to know what this is unless they've looked at sex toys before. If somebody happens to find it and asks you what it is, you could just tell them it's a back massager. Since its so discreet, you could take this toy on a trip with you and the luggage security would be none the wiser.

Another thing I liked about this toy was its small, compact size, which makes it pretty easy to hide, so if you're worried about somebody hiding it you could slip it into a sock and it could go completely unnoticed. The design for this toy is fairly standard, and not too interesting, but sometimes simple is best.

This toy worked wonders for me; the smooth plastic moved swiftly and cleanly without dragging against my skin at all, and the bumps were all placed just perfectly, each one resting nicely against my clit and my vulva all at the same time. The design of this toy is just so great that I wouldn't change a thing about it.

At the bottom of this toy, there are two soft buttons, one says up, the other says down, which is as simple as directions could possibly get. These buttons should be pressed firmly, however; they not delicate and can be hard to push sometimes, otherwise, they're easy to use.

This toy isnt very noisy at all. While my boyfriend played with the massager in the living room, I found that just a few feet away I could barely hear it, and in the room right nearby, I couldn't hear it at all. I'm sure that, behind a door, this toy wouldn't be heard at all.

There are ten vibration settings on this toy, and from the first to the last, they are:

1) Low, solid vibrations, three vrooms,
2) Stronger, solid vibrations, about four vrooms,
3) The strongest vibrations, only slightly stronger than the second setting, five vrooms,
4) Constant buzzing, in a fast pace, about four vrooms,
5) A short buzz and then a long buzz, four vrooms
6) Two short buzzes, then a long buzz, four vrooms,
7) Long vibrations, getting stronger and stronger, starts with a two, goes to five vrooms,
8) Slow putting from one vroom to three, or, as my boyfriend said, "like a motorcycle engine".
9) The same as before, but from three vrooms to five
10) Three strong pulses, then the "motorcycle" pattern, four vrooms.

These vibrations are mainly centered at the bumps on the head of the toy, although they run through the handle of the toy, but just slightly, not enough to make your hands numb. As much as I like all of the settings, my favorite was the fifth setting.

According the the packaging, this toy is waterproof, but I wouldn't suggest submerging this toy in the water because of the buttons. However, the toy wasn't effected by me washing it with water, and I'm sure it could be used in the shower without damaging it.

This toy is very low maintenence; after use, just wash it with hot soap and water, or your favorite toy cleaner, and you're done. Unfortunately, you can't sterilize this toy, so if you share it, it would be best to put a condom on the toy. Since this toy is plastic and doesn't get dirty easily like jelly, you can keep it in a sock, a box, or wherever you feel like keeping it. I personally keep mine in a toy storage bag for easy access.

I absolutely love that this toy can be used with any type of lube; it's convenient, and it works out for everyone, which is one of the things that makes plastic great.

The box for this toy is very cute; it's pink and opaque, with a neat wavy pattern on the front of the box. It has the name of the toy on it, but it's pretty discreet, since it doesn't have the uses listed on the box itself. There's a small sleeve on the inside of the box that is shaped like the toy, but it's shaped like the toy, which isn't that obvious of a toy. Overall, I really like the packaging of this toy, since I didn't need scissors to open it (it's a basic, rectangular box) and the design is cute.
