Stoya's Deep Sea Adventure vibrator by Digital Playground is a newer and more theme-following type of rabbit. The base of the vibrator has a strong clitoral vibe attachment. This attachment is in the shape of a skull with a sword through it. Can you say "badass"? The clit vibe is solidly attached to the shaft which curves up into a G-spot angle. This vibe has both G-spot and clit-stimulating abilities and looks amazing, while also being super pleasureful.

The seven speeds of the toy change the strength of the vibrations as well as the speed of the rotating G-spot end. Although the vibe is splash-proof, it is not completely waterproof and works well for adventures outside of the 'deep sea.' This toy is deep purple with a velvety base and extremely textured TPE shaft. TPE is a body-safe material but if you are going to be sharing this toy with a non-fluid-bonded partner, I would suggest using a condom. TPE is a little sticky and has a great deal of drag to it. It doesn't have any smell to it but it is porous.

The material of the shaft has a lot of detailed bumps and grooves. These offer lots of extra stimulation which may not be appropriate for someone who isn't used to a lot of texture. The 9.75 inches of this vibe might also be a little scary to a newbie!

The Pirate vibe is extremely detailed. Each part of it was obviously well thought out. I will describe the toy starting from the bottom up.

The base of the toy, where the battery hatch is located has three tiny hearts with skulls inscribed in each heart. This is where the Digital Playground insignia is located. The handle of the toy plus the clit vibes attached to the base add up to 4.75 inches. This non-insertable part is made of smooth velvety plastic and is extremely handy at providing grip. The purple handle has gorgeous four-petaled flowers in a design encircling the power buttons.

The top of the handle has 24 tiny jewels in a slightly orange color. They really go with the purple color and give the toy a detailed look.

The clit vibe is attached at the base of the shaft and seems to be very sturdy. The vibe is in the shape of a skull with a sword sticking out of its mouth. All of this is highly detailed and there are no noticeable seams. Three inches up the shaft is where the rotating beads are begin. The beads are not loose and they don't make the crunching sound that accompanies many cheaply-made rabbit vibes.

The head of this vibrator is curved upwards towards the G-spot. The G-spot curve is heightened and made more enjoyable by the bumpy and beaded design.



The picture of Stoya's vibrator compared to a Cal Exotics Jelly Rabbit makes Stoya's G-spot curve look very pronounced. Pirate Stoya's material, TPE, is safer than jelly and the toy itself is obviously well-made. I paid the exact same for both these vibrators and I feel that Stoya was a better buy, though similar in size and function.

This toy is whisper-quiet. I am surprised that such a large toy with so many functions doesn't sound like a jackhammer. Stoya can't even be heard under my heavy comforter! I have a lot of roommates so anything that they can't hear wins my heart.

The controls are easy to use and the location of the buttons is in an easy-to-reach spot on the base of the toy. The vibe has three buttons. The first controls the G-spot-angled shaft. The beads inside the shaft rotate at different speeds. The second button changes the speed and intensity of the clitoral vibe. This attachment is buzzy and changes from pulsating to solid vibrations. The third button serves a simple on and off function. This is important as you don't want to have to cycle through a ton of settings just to get your toy to shut off.

The toy takes four AAA batteries. My first set haven't run out yet, but having only had Stoya for a couple weeks that doesn't seem to be an indication of the toy's battery usage. I would love to have a rechargeable version of Stoya because I dread running out of batteries. The remote to the TV has made many sacrifices to keep my vibrators running!

I loved the simplicity of the functions. The rotating beads are great for vaginal stimulation, but I don't like the fact that you can't just use the vibrations and beads separately. If the toy is on, both the clit vibe and the shaft functions must be in use. I have other vibrators in this rabbit style that allow me to use the shaft as a dildo while also allowing me to turn on the clit vibrator separately. It's impressive to me that this is the only drawback I can find.

This toy is "splash proof" but I would suggest keeping it out of the tub or even the shower. The battery hatch doesn't seem as if it could keep up with any deep sea excursions.

Stoya is splash-proof but I really doubt the battery hatch would hold up underwater. I wipe this toy down with warm water and soap. The vibe's shaft is very hard to clean because of the many grooves in the material. Stoya might benefit from toy wipes; I think a manual wipe-down of this toy would serve to get rid of any nasty things lurking in its grooves. Who knows what could be hiding in the skull's eye sockets?

The TPE material needs to be stored in a dark, cool environment to prevent any premature degrading. Keeping Stoya in her pouch keeps her clean and away from any other harmful toys!
