Not so IntenseDo you forget to do your kegel exercises on a regular basis, but know that you need to do them for your health? Don't fret, Jopen introduced the Intensity to do just that. It uses electrostimulation to force your pc muscles to contract allowing them to become stronger without you having to do the work.
According to research, strong pelvic muscles not only add more bladder control when laughing, sneezing, coughing, and doing vigorous exercises, but these muscles also increase the intensity of your orgasm. I have had two children in the last five years vaginally so I know I can use all the help I can to obtain stronger pc muscles so I do not accidentally pee my pants from the aforementioned activities. I don't really like the idea of being thirty and having to wear Depends quite yet so I've made it my priority to strengthen my pc muscles before this becomes an issue.
Improved results should be seen over a long period of frequent use with Intensity and shouldn't be expected to happen overnight.
There are several warnings and safety precautions that are included with the Intensity. You should not use the Intensity if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, or defibrillator. Also, do not use the Intensity on infected or irritated skin. Jopen recommends to fully insert the Intensity and inflate it if you desire before turning it on. Also, make sure to turn it completely off before you remove it. Whatever you do, make sure to only use this vaginally because it is not made for anal purposes. Also, the Intensity is not waterproof so do not immerse this in the water.
I recommend this to anyone who like me forgets to do their kegel exercises regularly and wants something to do the exercises for them. I think it is overpriced for those who already have strong kegels or those who do some other form of exercises with other items.
As far as texture goes, the Intensity is smooth. There are five raised button controls on top of the handle that makes using the controls very easy to find just by your sense of touch. The handle is very firm and does not have any give to it at all. The underside of the handle is where the inflation device is located and it is very squishy to allow for pumping.
The shaft is very similar to an accordian where it has ridges along the shaft and is hollow in places. This accordian style allows the user to inflate the Intensity to their desired girth enabling this product to fit a wider range of users. I prefer my toys to be thin so I do not use this feature. I cannot feel the texture in the accordian at all while inserted, and if you inflated it the indentations disappear.
There is also a large, firm, oval g-spot bump on the front of the shaft directly under the first electrical plate. This is where the internal vibrator is located and on mine, you can see the wires at the thinner silicone area directly under the shaft.
The clitoral arm is flexible and can be moved with your fingers for about 360 degrees all around. It is also firm where the bullet is located.
There are a few visible seams along the Intensity but they are not something that can be felt while in use. There is a vertical seam that runs the length of the toy, up the clitoral arm, and up the shaft. There is also a horizontal seam where the shaft and handle meet.
Overall, it is ideal for those who prefer smooth toys because there is no added texture anywhere and the accordian style seams can not be felt while inserted.
The overall length of Intensity is 12" long, but it has an insertable length of 5 1/4". The product page mentions the insertable length at being 5 3/4", but that is just not the case with mine. I found it to be the same exact size as the length of my arm from my elbow to the base of my hand.
The clitoral arm is 3 1/2" long. While it is not inflated, the Intensity measures 4 1/2" around, but it can be inflated to accomodate up to 6 1/2" around. Again, I prefer smaller toys, so I do not inflate this.
I am not a fan of rabbit style vibrators, and I know that all womens anatomys are different so my results may not be the same as yours. With that being said, the clitoral arm did not work for me. If I fully inserted the shaft the clitoral arm would be above my clitoris. I could not move the shaft down lower to reach my clitoris while in use because of the metal contacts. I just never used this feature beyond the testing phase. I wish they had an option to buy the Intensity with and without a clitoral arm, because I would rather have a version without.
I wouldn't recommend traveling with this because it is very bulky and quite expensive, but if you desire to travel with it, be sure to remove the batteries before you go so it doesn't accidentally get turned on during your travels.
Although the Intensity doesn't have a phallic shape, the clitoral arm does look like what you see on rabbit vibrators so I would not consider this to be the most discreet toy and would recommend keeping it put away unless you like for curious company to ask what your items are.
You can store this in the original box or wherever you store your other toys. However, I don't store mine in its original box because the box has foam that the Intensity was stored safely in and the foam gets all over the Intensity. I just keep mine in my lingerie drawer with all of my other toys that I use on a regular basis.
The Intensity is made of silicone so it is best to use only water based lubricants with this product.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water
Humectant Polymers (acrylic acid/cellulose polymer)
FD&C Blue #1
FD&C Yellow #5
I prefer not using items with parabens so I have not used this product and my experience with the Intensity is based off of not using it.
