Three for the price of one!

Why buy one when you could get three? The Ami set by Je Joue is a vaginal exerciser set while also a sex toy. While you're clenching and unclenching your PC muscles around them you're also feeling the internal vibrations of the weighted balls under the silky silicone skin of these.

Pros:
Amazing price, silicone exterior skin, helps build PC muscle tightness, great packaging
Cons:
Plastic end piece could possibly collect bacterial (make sure to clean carefully!)

Use

The Ami set by Je Joue is designed for vaginal exercises and kegels. When inserted vaginally, the wearer contracts her pelvic floor muscles and doing this in a repeated pattern over the course of the day will eventually strengthen the pelvic muscles. Strong pelvic muscles lead to better, more enjoyable sex and also contribute to solving female incontinence issues resulting from age or pregnancy. Included with the boxed set of exercisers is an instructional booklet which gives you several "workout plans" for each piece. The single ball is good for beginners to kegel exercises or those who haven't done them in awhile. The middle piece is good for those who are familiar with kegel exercises or those who want more challenging workouts initially. The third exerciser is a solid, somewhat weighty piece compared to the other two. It is for advanced users and those wanting a serious challenge. You really feel it in your vagina when you wear it.

While this set is great for those wanting to do kegels, I also use this type of product for enjoyable use. I insert my chosen piece and walk around, enjoying the internal vibrations the pieces produce inside of me. It's my happy little secret I walk around with. These are like most duotone balls on the market, but made so much better.

Do not use these anally under any condition. Despite the retrieval cord, your ass is not designed for these and these are not designed to go in your ass. If you want something to use anally, get a butt plug.

Material / Texture

Unlike some duotone vaginal exercisers on the market, the Ami set is made from velvety silicone. When you feel the material with your fingers, you can tell there is a silicone skin-like shell over the internal structures. The material compresses when you squeeze it or press it, but bounces right back. The Ami 2 (the middle weight exerciser) has a little wobbly silicone connector bit in the middle, but the Ami 3 (the most challenging piece) center connector between the two weightier balls is not as wobbly. The cap on the end of each piece is a hard plastic with Je Joue's logo stamped on it. The "string" is a loop of silicone.

The material does collect a bit of lint if you were to leave it laying around, so I suggest storing the pieces in the box they come in.

Since these are made from high quality silicone exteriors, there is no smell to them that my sensitive nose can detect.
    • No odor
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

I've used other vaginal exercisers in the past, my favorite being the Fun Factory Smart Balls. Compared directly to this set, I prefer Ami any day. The fact that there are three different exercisers in this set is an excellent idea. Not everybody's vagina is one size fits all and not everybody is at the same level when it comes to vaginal tightness. While not for long term wear, some days I don't feel like wearing the weightiest Ami piece and instead I walk around my apartment with Ami 1 inserted, the single ball Ami. When I want the challenge, I scale up to Ami 2 or even Ami 3. The Ami 2 (middle one) is the widest of the three Ami's and seemed like the most difficult for me to retain in my vagina unless I was really concentrating or really pushed it in deep when inserting.

Speaking of which, insertion of these exercisers can be a bit difficult if you've never used anything like them before. The instruction book included with this set (as well as my own experience) suggests that a dab of water-based lubricant will help. Remember to use water-based as these are silicone shelled toys. No melty melty. The easiest way to insert these is to lay on your back and relax, pressing them in with fingers on the plastic base. You'll probably want to push them in beyond just your vaginal opening, as I found that when I stood up they had a tendency to want to slide right back out if I didn't do this. Nothing like popping a ball out of your vag to make for laughter.

These toys can be taken on trips as well. Since they don't have a power source other than your own willpower and vaginal muscles, no batteries or recharging is needed. Additionally they don't look like your standard "sex toy" so I would think unless a TSA agent would know exactly what they are, they wouldn't think anything of these.

Performance

This set of three vaginal exercisers performed wonderfully. No matter the one I used, I felt them inside of me. I was acutely aware of my PC muscles and sat there several times clenching and unclenching them around the exerciser of my choice for the day. Having something like this really makes you aware of muscles you may have never realized were there. To precisely locate your pelvic floor muscles, start your stream of urine (in the toilet or other vessel of your choice of course) and then stop it midstream. Slowly let it out drip by drip if you can. The muscles you're using to do this are your PC muscles, those that kegel exercises and toys like the Ami intend to strengthen when done properly.

This is a sex toy you can wear, use and enjoy with nobody knowing you're using it. There's no buzzing noise. Ami 1 and 2 have a bit of a jiggling noise when shaken, but unless you're doing jumping jacks in the library I don't see this to be an issue. The fact that you're using these internally muffles the slight noise fairly well. But like I said, don't be surprised if you move a lot in a very quiet environment and someone looks at you funny.

As much as I'm embarrassed to admit it, I'm someone who has started to experience some bladder incontinence with increased sexual activity and toy usage. Kegels and vaginal exercisers like the Ami set have helped remedy this problem to a large extent. Additionally it has made sexual activity more pleasurable for my partners because I can squeeze the muscles during sex.

Care and Maintenance

Before use, wash these down with some warm water and antibacterial soap. Since they are worn internally for periods of time, this might decrease the chance of any surface material being transferred inside of you and leading to an infection. After you are done using them, repeat the same process and making sure to clean around the plastic base where the silicone cord is attached. These area looks like it could be somewhere lube, vaginal fluids or other material could possibly collect. These can also be possibly soaked in a 10% bleach solution, but I would caution you away from boiling them because of the plastic base.

I suggest storing them in the box they arrive to you in, as the box has little nested areas for each Ami. The box will prevent lint or other airborne matter from sticking to the silicone skin of each exerciser.

Packaging

Je Joue's packaging couldn't be more simple or more beautiful. The exterior box of the set is a textured matte black thin cardboard box and has the company name and insignia along with the set's name. The sides of the box shows you little previews and the back has all product descriptions and blurbs in five different languages.

The storage box is a hard, thick black cardboard. When you first receive this set, there is a black satin ribbon tied in a bow holding the top shut. The company insignia and name is once again printed on the top. There are no other exterior markings on the storage box, so you could possibly leave this box out on a dresser or nightstand. Someone who doesn't know what Je Joue makes wouldn't know the difference. Inside the storage box is a molded plastic insert that the actual exercisers nest in. There's a hard cardboard piece at the top that folds over the plastic and shows you the name of each Ami (1, 2 or 3.) Underneath the plastic holder is where you'll find the rather lengthy instruction and care manual for the product.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Good for storage
    • Very informative

Personal comments

I really, really, really love this set. Did I mention I really love it? While they are at fist difficult to retain inside you, stick with it. You'll notice the difference in your ability to hold urine and your sexual activity. Not to mention you'll walk around with something moving inside of you. It's both pleasurable and building muscle tone at the same time!

But my favorite part? The price! Seriously, you could pay this for one set of duotone ball vaginal exercisers. The fact that this set includes three is stunning and quite frankly blows my mind. One of these is worth the price alone. For the price of one, you're receiving three that allow you to scale up or down depending on your PC muscle use or experience with vaginal exercises.

  • I dont know how this works.
    • I'm a bit embarrassed to admit this, but I have no clue how these work. Do you really just insert them and just go about your day, as if they're not even there?

Read through the reviews. There's actually a few different options. I do wear them during my daily routine. I don't ignore them, however. Their weight and presence inside me and the fact that I can feel the internal balls rolling around inside them reminds me to do my kegels. I use my muscles to pull them deeper inside me and adjust them if they slip or something. The instruction booklet they come with has instructions for a few different series of exercise routines you can do with them too. I'm very pleased with mine.

Yep, this. You can insert them and forget them, but they aren't as effective (if effective at all). You should use them as a reminder to do Kegels and the added weight should make them more productive.

  • when's ami come back in stock?
    • I'm very curious about kegel exerciesers and it seems that many people think the ami from je joule is a really good option. However my roomate says it hasn't been in stock every since she got an eden acount and I havn't seen it in stock for awhile. Does anyone know when it will come back?
    • You can always set an alert to be notified when it comes back into stock, submit a support ticket to ask customer service, or send JR a message and he can look into it. That's what I would do. :)
    • It looks like it's back in stock now!

      Have a great weekend!

  • Vaginal exercisers
    • What would be a good vaginal exerciser for a beginner who has given birth?
    • I'm quite fond of my Luna beads. You can adjust the weight of them to fit your needs and graduate up, similar to how Ami comes with three different sets. Just instead of three whole sets it's customizable.
    • I have had a handful of kegel exercisers, but the ami has been my favorite.

I have been looking through the vaginal muscle exercisers and I want to find a toy where I just buy the smallest toy in this box. And not all three as I do not need all three.

      Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'd rather not buy the actual ben wa balls unless that is my only choice as I'd prefer to have the string part.

      Help?

      Thank-you!!!!

Je Joue does not sell their exercisers separate from one another BUT the SinFive Emigi is closest in size to the smallest of the Ami set. It is however less flexible and a little lighter weight.
