Good tips (no pun intended). I have a few to offer. Make sure you're hydrated so you have a healthy amount of saliva. Another tip is that I always maintain contact - hands, mouth and tongue. If one part of me needs a break, the others keep working. One technique I like to use is to gently kiss the underside of the shaft from the balls to the head (using the inside of my lips). While kissing, I trace a continuous line of loops with the tip of my tongue. When I get to the head, I take the whole head in my mouth, working it in a similar way with my tonge while stroking the shaft with my hand.
