Do you have "down time" after a session?

My girlfriend and I won't start a scene unless we know that we'll have time afterwards to hang out and talk about things, or maybe just hold each other. Is this a critical part of your role reversals?

I always like to make sure there is room for that downtime, espically depending on how intense some things can get. Sometimes for us scenes have brought out some super emotional things for me that I didn't even know where in the back of my mind. So it helps bring everything back and into the 'real' of things as I put it.

yes! aftercare. Usually we lie and cuddle (unplanned, it's just that we get tired! lol). Once I experienced subdrop when a scene got cut short unpleasantly (i misbehaved a little and he left the room) when i didn't even REALIZE i was in subspace. That was bad, I started crying involuntarily and had difficulty explaining to him what i was experiencing. But we sorted it out and i got some aftercare (he was also unaware that i was in subspace)

Yup, downtime and aftercare are generally part of the program. But lack of time afterwards shouldn't stop you from having hot spontaneous play, just gotta keep it light and don't get too intense.

My partner is in a different country right now, but we always have downtime after -- even with just playing online.
