Gender neutral D/s titles

Contributor: charletnarouh charletnarouh
In a D/s relationship, Masters, Mistresses, Dommes and Doms often call their submissives and slaves "girl", "boy" or "boi". Aside from simply "sub" or "submissive", do you have any ideas for gender neutral, non-binary or genderqueer friendly versions of that? Something that ideally conveys the same type of affectionate familiarity, possessiveness and submission with the possibility for romantic love connotations.

Pet is pretty gender neutral. If the submissive fancies name calling then perhaps slut or fuck toy or something along those lines would do well. While most people would think slut or fuck toy are degrading they could also be words that sends a smile to a the sub's face. In my opinion body language and tone can take even the most common of words mean and convey so much more.

Also, adding the preface of "My" can make a huge difference.

It would be more for the purpose of introducing the submissive to other's. The Dominant says "This is my ______."

I personally really like 'pet'. Though, depending on the relationship, I've seen 'property' used as well.

You could always go with "This is mine." I see nothing wrong with that approach. If the other person would like to speak or address your sub they can ask you if it's alright with you. If you like you could always just introduce them as their name if the situation would allow. This is (subs name). They are mine/my pet/my slut/etc.

Toy, plaything, prize, little dove.

Or you can go the other way and give one of those annoying cutesy nicknames like cupcake, butterfly or jelly bean.

I'm 'Pet', or 'Kitten'. Some variation of sexual terms thrown in 'Dirty kitten' 'naughty pet', etc;

Pet is pretty common. Occasionally I've just gotten 'beautiful' or 'my beautiful'

My sweet one, my little one, my beauty, toy, bitch, pet, slut, fucker. It depends on the mood and person. Simply "mine" works well, too.

"Little one" is the first one that comes to mind. After that, "puppy" although I'm not sure why that popped into my head lol. I've seen "whore" used on kink social networks, along with slut, but I don't really like either term. Like others have said "pet" is pretty common too.
