Do you like the idea of locking steel collars as a symbol of ownership?

If it floats your boat, do it. We both wear permanent solid rings of ownership. They are on our third fingers, left hand. Very clearly marked for all to see. In fact, not even plain vanilla, as hers sports a diamond.

Please don't mistake your idea that "collaring is as deep a commitment as marriage, for the legal protection and societal protection and rights afforded a good old fashioned "I Do". When we had a couple who had lived together (with matching tat's and nose rings even), arrive in the hospital a short while back, they were treated as strangers and NO information or legal rights for one was acceptable for the other. NO legal rights at all...since they were, in the eyes of the law, "in no way related". May not be fun, but those are the real facts.

Serious commitments freak me out a little so I don't think a permanent collar is for me. At least not for the time being.

I love them, bu i am not sure I will ever have a dynamic that is appropriate for such a commitment.

Yes, but I don't own one. Sometimes you have to be discrete though.

I am concerned about the idea of putting an unbreakable and locking collar on a submissive in day-to-day life. My mind just automatically jumps to worst-case dangerous scenarios (I don't wear necklaces that won't break before they could strangle me). However, the magnetic versions (so they can be released) of the same collars are gorgeous and I would totally buy one for the right sub.

I have been wearing mine for 2 years and have never taken it off. My husband holds the key so the only way it can be removed without his permission is by cutting it off for a medical emergency.

Ring of steel collars are wonderful, they are very well made and if you choose to have a pendant put on it, then they can be worn in most situations and thought of as little more than a fashion statement.

I think locking steel collars are best for frequent wear, they don't rub skin the way leather does.

I like them tho they are impractical for my boy's everyday life. We opted for a bracelet that can be removed.

Well, since my last post, I've become my lovers pet. We are currently working on finding an everyday collar, as well as an actual pet collar.
