Never read it other then a few excepts here and there and based on those and the response I'm glad I never have.

I'm offended on behalf of my friends in the bdsm community, I'm offended personally as a fanfiction writer, and I'm also appalled that such poor writing -- grammar, plotting, and characterization -- can make that much money.

Hate them. It started out as twilight fanfiction, you arent getting me to read twilight in the first place. Secondly I dont think it represents the bdsm community in a positive light, and finally, she uses the same words repeatedly throughout the book, terrible writing.

I hate the way BDSM is portrayed in the books. The relationship my husband and I have is beautiful and steeped with love and respect. I have to trust him almost more than I trust myself. Because of this his role in our relationship is powerful. It could be horrible and abusive, but that is not BDSM, it is just abuse. I can also attest that neither of us suffered any sort of abuse as children. We are both professionals, parents, and very comfortable in our own skins. To have someone who obviously knows little to nothing about the lifestyle to write books portraying that lifestyle is insulting.

Poorly written, and the sex is BORING.

I've read excerpts. Even if you don't want to get into relationship-depiction s, it's crazy unrealistic. The protagonist is a 20-something writing major currently in college who has never had an email address. What world is the author living in? The play is pretty light (and unrealistically described) and has dumb ideas re: BDSM (cable ties aren't safe bondage material!) and glorifies older guy/clueless n00b relationships. The idea that submissives should walk wide-eyed into relationships just because Dom Knows Best is a pervasive and dangerous idea that gets people seriously hurt.

Hate it. i want to force the author to go to a real BDSM event to see what the real community is like and how very very wrong she is. The whole thing infuriates and offends me from a number of angles. Flagrant abuse of the English language and defamation of a lifestyle and group of people the author clearly knows nothing about. Vile. It's unfathomable popularity makes me doubt the human race.

Oh, i should mention that i read all 3 books in order to be able to offer a fair opinion of them. i don't think it's fair to judge something without experiencing it, so i forced myself though it just to be able to fairly say that it's awful and offensive.

The writing was very poor and I found it quite repetitive and cheesy at times, but I enjoyed reading it. I agree that this is not a faithful portrayal of the BDSM community, but since it is just fiction, it didn't really matter to me.

The "hero" is emotionally abusive and manipulative. I don't recommend them.

Other, because I couldn't get over the writing long enough to get past the first few pages. Some of the excerpts made me wince though.

i was like that until my best friend, who is obsessed with the series, gave me the "that's not a good reason" face. I read it to make her happy...then became just as obsessed.

Somewhat inaccurate, not the best of writing; but still entertaining to the right person. I know my roommate loved it, despite the flaws she pointed out.

It glorifies an abusive relationship and is poorly written.

Complete and utter garbage. Anything that started off as fanfiction for an already terrible series of books (Twilight) obviously can't be any good.

I haven't read it, but have heard lots of mixed reviews. Some people say it's super steamy, and other people have said it's an outrageously inaccurate portrayal of the lifestyle.

I think it was poorly written, that was what I found most offensive I do think she didn't know much about it and tried to tell a story she really didn't understand. I didn't think it was offensive but it was definitely inaccurate. I did read them all though because I just HAVE to know what happens when I start to read something
