I was trained, Old Guard Style, I served under a dom for about six to eight weeks. The rest comes from time, and practice. Common Sense is pretty damn important to have.

My safety knowledge is basically common sense, we don't really do much play that could cause serious harm.

I'm very confident in my current skill set. I attend workshops on a regular basis to get first hand information on different things. The great part about these workshops is there are usually people there that will take you through things step my step and make sure you do things correctly.

I also do research online and read books but my best resource is going to workshops.

books & workshops. occasional internet advice, but from well-fleshed-out sources or experienced people.
