i'm a size 12 and i have not had any issues with them not fiting right. Also I notice that there is a lot of extra strap that I don't use. I have two harnesses now. One nylon and one leather. The leather one seems to have longer straps though. Also I know that some reviewers put up the measurments of each part. Maybe that would help you a bit.
