Pegging in the Shower? Lube?

You can use a water based lube but you will have to reapply it often to the point that it may get frustrating, especially if you plan to have running water spraying on you.

I know you're interested in suggestions based on what you have, but a very simple solution is to use an oil based lube. Alternatively, you could also try using a silicone lube with a condom covering the dildo, though I'm not sure I would risk that with the Feeldoe/Realdoe. less

Either of the feeldoes should work and just coating the dildo has always worked for me.

Oil-based lube... I completely forgot those exist! I know EF offers a lot of massage oils, but can they be used safely internally? Not many of them appear to actually be lubricants, what would you suggest?

Alright. My boyfriend and I, as many of you are aware by now, thoroughly enjoy the art and pleasure of pegging. But something he'd like to experience is being fucked in the shower. We've been dating for two years, and now that we finally have a harness that's waterproof, I really want to give him this pleasure. There's just one problem.

Our lubes are all water-based. It'll just wash right off the dildo.

This is because all of our pegging toys are silicone (safer for sharing!), so we don't dare use silicone-based lube on them. I mean sure we have one glass dildo, but the darn thing is too small to work in the harness's ring, it just slips right through. I can't make it work. What I CAN do, although it means less pleasure for me this is more for him anyway, is use our rope to make a harness like I used to do with all of our dildos before we had a real harness, but that doesn't solve the lube problem. Our canine dildo is also soft, floppy silicone, has an inflatable knot, and is equipped with a cum tube you fill with lube, water, or a mix of both, and is harness compatible. I'm not sure tying the knot would be able to be achieved in the shower, at least not the first time.

We DO have a lube shooter of sorts.

The point is, given this information, and the fact that right now we can't afford to buy new toys, harnesses, or lube, what do we do? Here are the poll questions:

Lubricants: Astroglide (thin, almost expired), Wet Ecstasy (thicker, cooling), ID Glide (thickest, used for almost all our pegging), and whatever comes in the Tenga Egg Masturbators , and what amounts to a lube Shooter .

Sounds kind of obvious, but avoid pointing the shower water directly on the dildo or area where you "link" and it is far less likely to result in the lube "washing away" too fast. Combine that with first giving him a good internal "dose" of lube with your lube shooter and you should be fine.

My hubby gives ME anal in the shower all the time and we only use water based, thick lubes. Same issue as pegging, really. less

Lube shooter is good, and directing the water away from the affected area also works. Long-term oil-based lube is probably the best for wet environments, but you can start off with the water-based.

I strongly recommend avoiding glass or steel dildos for pegging - it's too easy to poke something inside and have it be uncomfortable.

Use the real harness. It won't be harmed by water and you'll be much happier. less

Actually we use our glass toy for pegging often when I'm on my period and don't want to bleed all over the toys I wear internally, and because it's not particularly long or thick or curved, we don't really have any problems with it. less

I'm sorry it was confusing - yes, it's OK to mix lubes, but I was intending to say "use the water based lube at first, then if you decide you like pegging in the shower you probably would want to invest in some oil lube".

You can make your own oil lube by melting some coconut oil and vegetable shortening together. The more coconut oil you put in the thinner it is (at body temperature).

I've found that while quality silicone lubes don't bond permanently with quality silicone toys you can get temporary "welts" on the toys and sometimes the lube just doesn't seem to work as well as it does with non-silicone toys. I've only tested two silicone lubes, so this might be just a lube oddity. less
