I know this is crazy, but I actually don't drink coffee!

As for a coffee-like drink, you can roast the roots of many plants and brew it for something coffee-like! Chicory is often used as a flavor additive to coffee, and grows wild in much of the United States! (We called them "cornflowers" where I grew up.) Just stick 'em in the toaster oven for that roasty coffee flavor!

Not only can it be found practically everywhere, it's medicinal and without poisonous look-alikes in North America!

I am not a fan of Starbuck's at all really, their iced drinks and lattes are okay but their coffee always tastes burnt to me. I prefer mom and pop shops but I mostly brew my own.

One of my favorite things to make at home is a simple iced coffee; you can sub soy or almond milk if you are lactose intolerant. Or for an alcoholic twist, try making a white russian with cream or half and half, kahlua and a splash of coffee (vodka is optional for me, only add it if you want something very strong) - it's wonderful! Sweet tooths can add a splash of simple syrup (boil water and sugar together) if desired to make either drink smoother.

The only thing I get from Starbucks on occasion that is coffee-like is the White Chocolate Mocha.

I like made-at-home better - this applies to all drinks, notably hot chocolate. I've found that that way I can customize it the way I want to and add all sorts of delicious toppings.

I buy from Starbucks only as a last resort - maybe around twice or three times a year.

For regular ('Americano') coffee, we make it better at home with high-quality beans and a french press. Starbucks isn't nearly as good as what we make - and it's absurdly expensive.

For lattes, cappuccinos or other funky beverages like that, we don't have the equipment at home, so on the rare occasions that we drink stuff like that, we get it outside. We prefer Mom & Pop places over corporate places like Starbucks.

I wish I knew how to make frappuchinos at home, that's my favorite item there but I never get them. They're too expensive for what's basically a milkshake/Slurpee hybrid.

I love most of the drinks at Starbucks. But when I don't feel like spending $5+ on a drink from there, I buy the International Delights or Silk Iced Coffee from Walmart. I have tried to make my own coffee at home but it never taste the same as when someone else makes it for me.

I drink a lot of coffee at home and I drink a lot of coffee at Starbucks. No recommendations on drinks though - 99% of the time I'm drinking straight up coffee. Not into the sugar-laden froufrou drinks much these days.

I don't do sugar in my coffee. Ever. So the people at Starbucks tend to look at me sideways when I order coffee. I prefer it at home, but there are more Starbucks than anything else around where I live. The only Barista that hasn't given me a funny look is one that works inside of a Target near my house- and it's because he drinks his coffee the same way I do. I typically get my coffee with sugar-free syrup if I EVER get it flavored, otherwise I just put cream in it.

Although, I own a Keurig, so honestly, I don't even bother going out to drink coffee most of the time. The best place for me to buy it made has been Dunkin' Donuts. Nearly all of their syrups are sugar-free, so I can get an iced coffee with no sugar, and have it flavored with caramel & vanilla. And it doesn't taste like pure sugar! It's nice.

Not going to lie, though, I feel like I make better coffee than Starbucks can at home.

I like the coffee that I make at home, but I also like Starbucks on occasion.
As well, if I'm going to meet someone for coffee to talk about whatever, it isn't going to be for coffee out of my thermos.

White chocolate mocha is for you then! Just make sure you tell them you want it stirred. I also try it before because they never taste the same and if I wish it to be a little more sweet I add some of the powdered vanilla in it. SO GOOD. There's also two "secret" drinks you can get. One is a Crunch Berry frapuccino, and one that tastes exactly like mint chocolate chip ice cream.

I like black coffee, and the best I have had is from Blue Bottle in San Francisco. I am too lazy to make at home so I buy.

If you love coffee-ish drinks that are not very coffee-like, Starbucks is your friend. If I want a sweet coffee treat nothing beats Vietnamese iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk.

I love lattes, which are very difficult to make at home if you don't have an espresso machine. However, I think regular coffee is much, much better made at home, & so much cheaper.

Really depends on what I'm wanting. I usually just have straight coffee with a little creamer so most of the coffee I make is from home. Some things they have at Starbucks are good but then I can be a little picky, I don't like everything on their menu. ;P
