Eden Lit November Meeting (11/12/2012) @3pm EST

This month's topics are:
*Open Topic- Write about whatever it is that sparks you this month. Genre and style are yours to choose!
*Poetry Open- We acknowledge that almost everyone writes poetry. So come on out you shy poets and dazzle us with your gripping words!
*Thanksgiving Folly- We have all had holidays where we wished we were ANYWHERE but there. Some border on dark comedy and others are just plain absurd. Tell us all about your Thanksgiving foibles. Did your Dad nearly burn down the house frying a turkey? Did you have the police called to your house because of a fight? Did the kids do something memorable? Fact or fiction we want to hear all about it!

We didn't get many people participating this month but the stories we got are extra amazing:

I will try to make it. Don't get a break from work until 3:15 EST, and will be on my phone. On the bright side, I have another story that I may be able to upload tomorrow AM before the meeting...just waiting for permission, because this one is more than a little true.

OOOOH how exciting though! I would love to sit and write but I am in the middle of a fibro-myalgia flare up so I am unable to concentrate on much. I wish you all the joy though...I won't say luck cause that's for amateurs LOL!

I was happy to see a story about a group event rather than just a guy and a girl, ya know? The feeling in that piece was gritty and real. I could relate since it was very close to some of the encounters I have had. I am not real comfortable with group situations where I don't know the players very very well. It was nice to see a story dealing with this sort of mild discomfort...where she wasn't sure she could go on but really didn't want to stop.
I am looking forward to part 2!

Naw it's a clunky system but we are working on streamlining it...the problem is it's a GIANT job. For now just post your work and be sure to put a date on it so I can add it to the proper month's meeting.
