That is the best description of poetry. I heard that poetry is the way the soul speaks when no one is listening.

I did...normally I am all over anything paranormal but the fact that is was really really deeply lesbian was a bit off putting but the stories are so good that I found myself getting drawn in.

I just started the Wheel of Time series again, I found it packed away in some boxes that I forgot so I thought I would start it over.

I did that with the Cyteen Novels by CJ Cherryh. Talk about a heavy read!

I don't have the attention span for really heavy stuff like that anymore.

Usually I have just a few minutes before bed to down a few pages before collapsing to sleep. I find it makes for better dreams LOL

Me too its either right before bed or when I am on the bus. Gotta have something to keep awake so that I don't fall asleep on the way home. LOL

Ok so let's have the open topic, a new poetry topic, and what shall we do for the third topic?

I have an idea....How about a story start? I'll write a sort of generic start to a story and then invite the club members to finish the tale in whatever way they wish. Sound interesting?

I've done this before with college writing groups I was in and it's loads of fun. Hell Mercedes Lackey even had a group of her writer friends publish their results and it's an amazing book.

Ok Scarlet Fox thanks for coming and thanks Stormy for sitting in. I think we'll leave this meeting just a bit shorter this Month. I'll be monitoring the forum all day and perhaps we'll figure out a time that works better for the rest of the members.

Thanks all for Coming to the Meeting tonight!

I'm gonna send you some points Scarlet Fox as a thanks for sticking it out with us here.

Thanks for having me. I am sure everyone just has to adjust to the new time. I know I had set a second alarm for mine because I knew my Google calander was still set to remind me that it was at 7pm.

I agree with the thought that poetry should have its own thread and each post contributes to the thread.

I think having each poem in its own thread would just be way too much.

But, I also think that the poetry should be "free" form to let the author just write. But a couple times a year I think a poetry challenge or something where you must do something more structured or a topic for poetry.
