I'm fairly new to reading erotica and at this point I prefer reading about my own predilections or else scenarios that are truly otherworldly. I'm looking forward to Dream Lover.

Story of my life---I usually wind up in relationships with guys who are similarly submissive, so we both wind up asking the other to be in charge all the time. (I guess many of the naturally dominant guys also tend to be dominant outside the bedroom, which is too intimidating for me, so usually when I get really close with someone, it's someone who's similar to me.)

One of my exes and I had a really good dynamic, though---he liked to be pegged, so basically when he was giving he was in charge, and when I was giving, then I was. It made it much easier to keep my dominant hat on, when we had such a visible signal.

As long as a story is well written I normally enjoy it. I am open to all aspects of life...I will read the back of a shampoo bottle if it is written well lol! I find that I can relate in some sense to almost all erotic stories, maybe if its only a twinge of something that I've fantasized about. I can still find myself getting a little lost in it.

I know I do. There are many things that are not my personal kinks that can really turn me on in a good erotica story.

I've really been enjoying some of the stories in Carnal Machines that don't necessarily mesh with my own kinks (Mutiny on the Danika Blue, for example, if you had just told me the plot I would have shrugged and said "eh, maybe." But it was *so* well written that I was completely drawn in...)

I have to admit that I am rather curious about pegging. Though my hubby has not expressed an interest in that. I just wonder what it would be like to the be the one doing the penetrating rather being penetrated.

Yes... to a point. I can appreciate stories which include acts I would never take part of, but there are some things which bother me too greatly to even tolerate them in fiction.

I've been able to get into a lot of things, actually, in erotica that I would not have thought about on my own. And then they'll actually become part of my general fantasy storehouse.

I think, though, there are some hard limits that I would not really be able to warm up to, no matter how well-written they might be. Those would be things like necrophelia or scat, though, that actively turn me off. So those are different from approachable fantasies that just hadn't happened to cross my mind, or common things that aren't as in touch with things I feel natural doing (like female dominance).
