I've notice that there are already a couple of threads on the smell of Doc Johnson products but those of those seem to indicate that the smell is awful (as in "unpleasant". I just reviewed the Vicky Quickie Pocket Pussy by Doc Johnson and have noticed a rather strong, sweet smell. It's not unpleasant but I just don't like it - it's almost as if a scent was applied intentionally. So far, the smell doesn't go away, even after repeated cleanings. I don't have the pocket pussy, but I do have a
dildo that claimed "unscented" on the package, but
does have a strong smell. It's sort of a fake strawberry/sweet
smell to me, but it's strong enough that it can't stay
out of it's package for very long. I tried leaving it out

Strawberry scented shower curtain? I think I heard another person describe it as such. Does the box say Sil-A-Gel? If so that is what you are smelling. I do not know why they put that odor in the material but it is there. I have a stroker that I got at the holiday party (Christmas time) and it still has the smell.

Yeah, that's Si-A-Gel. I'm pretty sure I coined the "Strawberry Shower Curtain" to describe Sil-A-Gel. Tim, our first sex toy is years old, it is Sil-A-Gel (which is a bitch to type) and even after years of using and washing, it still smells.
