Metis and I happened to be on Twitter recently and saw this article on the Bestselling Dildos of 2011 linked:

We were both surprised to see the Tantus Cowboy was listed....the Cowboy? It's kind of a specialty item. There's no way that's popular enough to get a mention on this list, right?

Turns out we have been educated today. After looking up sales figures, it so happens EF sells an astonishing number of these, comparatively. EF is, apparently, chock full of Cowboy fans.

EF has had some amazing sales on the Cowboy in the past year (up to 70% off!) which I'm sure have contributed to the numbers. I even bought one for a friend because I couldn't resist the amazing price.

I bought the Cisco at 70% off and that thing is awesome! Originally I started out with Doc Johnson silicone toys but as I experience more Tantus sex toys in the silicone material i'm leaning towards Tantus I think there is overall a much larger and diverse selection of silicone toys and that's what I like. Keep up the awesome work Tantus!!!!

If the Hoss went on sale for 70% off, I suspect it'd make this year's top ten list. I also suspect that we'd see a series of reviews that claim it's a great toy but was too large to use.

I bought a Cowboy (and it, um, towers over the rest of my collection, quite literally) , but I'm not going to review it until I've been able to use it to at least the second-to-last node!

I always thought that the 'size queens' tended to be people (particularly men) after anal stimulation. Certainly lengthwise, there's a hard limit on what can be taken vaginally.

I tried to arrange them in a matrix of size... but it turns out most of my toys are not longer than the vaginal canal

Pretty crazy that the Cowboy made the list, of course when you make a toy so fine and of such high quality, it does make sense. Congrats Tantus!
