Tantus O2 Plugs?

Contributor: squire squire
Just wondering what the chances might be of a Tantus plug being made with 02 material? I've been watching all these amazing new Tantus products being launched, and I had bought a few might I add, and I got to wondering why the 02 hasn't rocked the plug market yet? I am sure there must be some logistical issues, but I would think it would be popular? Plus it would open a market to those who are less comfortable with realistic models while still wanting anal play.

Does anyone feel the same way? This can also be considered a request

It's a great idea; we've been doing some test items but there are some production issues. Also, we are kicking off a campaign focused on pegging this week, so the plug research has fallen behind. (Excuse the pun.)

I will say that given that O2 stuff is a little more labor-intensive to produce, it's likely that an O2 plug would be a little more expensive. Would that dissuade you as a customer? I'm just curious. Thanks for your great post, BTW.

I thought that there might be some challenges. As for price, a higher price would not bother me at all. High quality toys are investments, plus to get one of the first plugs made of a high quality duel density material would be great. I enjoy all materials for anal play, but sometimes you want something softer, not unyielding like metal or dangerous like the cheap soft tprs ect. Plus they would be great for those looking to stretch up, for long term wear, or again for those who are not fond of penis shaped toys near their backsides but still want the fun of anal stimulation!

Thanks for the reply and unfo Jenna. I am excited to pick up a few if ghe tests prove fruitful!

Ooh, that's a neat idea! I don't know if it would be for me, because I have an easier time inserting more firm things anally, but I'd bet they'd be really pretty, and could fill a nice niche in the market.

I love how open to suggestions Tantus always is!

Aw, thanks for the nice compliment. I do have a great many customers who are looking for a long-term wear plug, so I think a dual-density would be great. It's in the pipeline, for sure.

(OMG the puns today. I am so amused.)

It wouldn't dissuade me, it would take longer to save up the cash but quality is worth the extra cost in my view.

I'd be curious as to how the O2 material holds scents compared to regular silicone. I really dislike any sort of lasting scent with anal toys afterwards, so I wonder if that would make a difference. So far, soaking any silicone/soft toy for long periods after use seems to keep the odors away, but I wonder if O2 would be different.

That is interesting to know....do you soak in a bleach solution, Kayla? I'm just curious. The O2 material does seem to discolor and be more prone to silicone lube bonding than the harder types. You bring up an excellent point.

I've been having phenomenal anal sex with my new Mark O2 dildo, so I would DEFINITELY buy an O2 plug if I thought the size and design would fit me. Quality toys are worth the investment to me. When you think how much people spend on a television or a vacation or other leisure activities, spending $100 for something that will give you orgasms for years to come hardly seems excessive.

(I reviewed Mark here if you're interested. )

We don't soak in bleach. Just wash it regularly and leave it in hot water for about 8 hours (usually overnight, honestly). We can do it since we have our own place sans children, but I know it's not an option for everybody. It does take out all odors though; the toys smell brand new.

What a lovely review! I'm not a realistic toy fan, so I never thought about the color issue. I think that may stem from Metis's focus on nontoxic colorants, though. She is 100% committed to healthy materials, and some of the colorants out there are bad juju. But this is an awesome review. Thanks for putting your time and energy into this.

That is really good to know. I myself am a dishwasher-er. (And am paranoid every single time that the kids will try to empty the dishwasher, although honestly it would be a flaming miracle if they did a chore without being asked.) Silverdrop's review showed her Mark taking a bath in a casserole dish too, so I think you may not be the only one doing this.

Going home to think about how to create a test whereby we could see if the softer silicone retains odors more than the regular silicone. I feel like a mad scientist!

I for one am loving Jenna's puns today. I think that a plug might not necessarily have to be dual density. A super-soft plug might work just fine, and would probably be an easy prototype (just pouring a different mix in the same mold?). Something with a fairly thick base (relative to the max diameter) would be a lot of fun to squeeze with one's ass, and might provide a unique sensation relative to firmer materials.

Yes please!
I am loving my Cush anally and would love a plug for long term wear! Even if the Ryder or Severin was made with the dual density it would be heavenly.

I have not noticed any lingering smells with the Cush and I only use Climax Burst toy cleaner, so I don't think that would be a problem.

I'm glad you liked it. And I Mark so much! It's good to know that the colourants are safe - I honestly had never thought of that aspect.

I think I'd be wary of a super soft plug, because it wouldn't have the pressure behind it to actually be inserted. I would at least wait for multiple reviews before I tried it. With Mark, the soft head helped open the way, but the inner core gave the necessary support.

More experienced anal players who are better at consciously relaxing may not have difficulty with that sort of thing though, so it may still be a good product. Just not one that I would personally jump to buy, the way I would a dual density plug.

We tried a Supersoft but couldn't get the base to work. The material is so squishy that you run the risk of...how do I say this?....the dreaded anal inhale, so to speak. But the designer is still working away. We've gotten a bit derailed with other projects of late, but I'm hoping to see some new plugs by this summer.

Hmmm, interesting to hear. I could see how the base would be the issue. I will look forward to seeing what your designer comes up with!
