Faulty Jopen?

Contributor: RomanticGoth RomanticGoth
I just recieved my first order from EF, a Jopen Vanity Vr7 and a bottle Sliquid gel.

The Sliquid is all sticky (I think there is a hole in it) and the Jopen won't work. I've tried everything in the pamphlet! I charged it for four hours and waited for the red light to go off. It never went off, it's still on! I've taken it off the charger a few times to try to unlock it, but it doesn't work. I sat around trying to get it to do something for about 30 minutes. Nothing.

I'm saddened by this! I was so excited. I filled out the warrenty for the Jopen, too.

Can anyone tell me what to do about returning or exchanging these?

This exactly!

I am just curious, but have you tried to shake it or smack it? When I got my Jopen Vr8 the one end would not work and the other end would. I thought I was going to have to send it back, but I thought about smacking the motor. This actually worked. Then I tested shaking it to make sure it would not shake lose again. It has held up. You might want to try that.

I honestly would just send it back. I got a We-Vibe that charged completely and then was used for 10 minuets and turned off. Then it was acting up making the typical noise when it needs charged. I put it on the charge base for about 5mins and too it off and it turned on again. But for such an expensive toy I just decided to send it back in for an exchange. I hated waiting but it was better than keeping a problem toy and getting one that worked properly.

Thanks everyone. I am sending it back as soon as I can get a ride to the UPS office.

It'll be fine once I can get my return slip printed and the package sent off. It looks like I have to wait for my guy's day off to get to town.

It sounds like the replacement Sliquid was already mailed off.

Thank you, EF, for having such a wonderfully easy return program!

Ok, I got my replacement Jopen.

This one works, but it is annoyingly loud. It can be heard in the living room and that is two rooms away. I put it under the blankets and went back out to the living room. I can hear it with the TV on! "WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW" Should I return this one, too? I haven't tried it out yet, just turned it on after charging it.

Maybe I just have bad luck with Jopens?

Check the reviews and see what bee level they have. It might just be a loud toy.

It is going to be returned. The Nichole from Jopen said that it shouldn't sound like that and they would be happy to exchange it for me.

Wish me luck.

I've experienced this with the vr9, The big motor suddenly stops then I smack it again and it starts back up.

If no one has said it yet (I've not yet the whole thread!!!0 try unlocking it. Hold both buttons down for a moment. I know my vr6 came locked but the vr9 did not.

Just had the same problem with mine, wouldn't take a charge, charging light not turning off and the VR7 not turning on even after almost 24 hours of charging
