I wanted to verify the diameter of this ring listed on the page here:

It says: "Unstretched Diameter 1 3/4"

I used to have the purple one of this, which i lost recently. I purchased the red one of this super soft C ring, only to find out the Unstretched Diameter is actually 1 1/2". Reviews as well say its 1 1/2"

Is the purple super soft C ring actually an Unstretched Diameter of 1 3/4"?

The Tantus Super Soft C-Ring has an outer diameter of 1 3/4" and an inner diameter of 1 3/8"; these are the measurements I got from the one I own (brand new and never been stretched). These silicone rings should all come in the same unstretched size no matter what color.

Note: On the product page, there's a "View actual product size" button right beneath the product images — you can always look up the actual measurements using that handy function.

I own the purple one, I have not measured it. When I wear a metal cock ring it has to be at least two inch for me to get it on or off flaccid. Hard no way at all. Now with the purple Tantus Super Soft, it can come off even hard.

Well to clarify, I purchased the purple ring ages ago from Eden. It was definitely NOT an internal unstretched diameter of 1.5". I suspect it was an internal unstretched diameter of 1.75" because it fit like a dream. The new one i purchased, (and all other sources say) it is 1.5" an internal unstretched diameter of 1.5". It is very uncomfortable; way too small. I even used the View actual produce size tool. They all seem to be 1.5"

Could there have been a manufacturing mishap where the rings were larger (>1.5") in a previous production run and then the fixed them to be 1.5" in later runs?

Well, the one I own was bought over three years ago, and it measures exactly the same like the one showing in the "View actual product size" image.

You should ask Tantus directly whether they did anything to the size since they're the manufacturer. And it would be nice if you could share the information with us after Tantus responded to you.
