I show friends who I'm trying to introduce to toys. They have images in their heads of scuzzy looking jelly toys, so I show them my classy, classy stash with the hopes of getting them over their preconceived notions of all toys as gross.

yeah, Im not sure why, but theres a lot of negativity around some toys. I really don't understand why some folks think so poorly about them *shrugs*

I don't just randomly show them, 'cuz that'd be weird. I have had a friend ask to see them and have shown them before, but again, they asked to see it.

Close friends, my boyfriend, and my mother are pretty much the only people that I would allow to see any of it, and the kinkier items would be saved for people I know wouldn't freak out and get me committed. x'D

Friends, yes. Family, no.
My family is VERY religious and the fact that my husband and i sleep in the same bed is frown on, so I'd hate to think how they'd feel about my 3 boxes of sex toys >.<

I've shown my boyfriend some of my toys (and he knows of the others ) and I'm sure I'd show a close friend if they wanted to see. Never family though. It's too awkward for me.

Depends on the person I think, for me it's only my fiance but I would also feel comfortable showing them off to my gay friend, we've been friends for more than ten years and I share everything with him!

For me, it's just too personal to show something from my collection. I will offer advice on products I like to friends, though, and have been known to drag my friends into toy shops.
