How much do reviews influence your buying choices?

Contributor: LilLostLenore LilLostLenore
it depends on if they have my size and the review says if the sizing is correct and if it is well made and not cheaply made.

Honestly reviews are very important to me. I have a limited budget to shop on, and I'm not going to waste my money on something that doesn't already have good reviews. It won't make or break my choice - if something has 20 rave reviews and two really bad ones, I'll probably still buy it. But yeah, it does have a big effect on me.

A well written review will sway me if I'm on the fence - some good pictures in the review even more so. Video reviews are very influential because I like to see the size/scale/function/wh athaveyou for myself.

I also agree with limited budget making reviews more important! EF is a luxury for me, so I need to know what my dollars and cents are going towards in advance.

A LOT. I read reviews extensively before buying anything. Sometimes, I take a chance if the reviews are midrange - some good and some bad, but I take reviews into consideration before buying anything.

I've been reading reviews off and on all night looking for a decent hands-free vibe. And because of the conflicting reviews on this sub-genre of vibrators, I'm having a hard time choosing. So yeah - depend on reviews a lot.

Something like 8-8.5
If there are plenty of quality reviews, it will do a lot to influence me but with only one or two, they help but I will often still go with my gut.
Reviews are always a great help, though.

The reviews only influence it based on whether the product really matches the picture. Because sometimes you order something nice only to find out it's flimsy and thin

8-I was looking for items for my wishlist yesterday and I saw a new review. Then started to read others of the same product and now I will be ordering the item. I had no clue about it. Now I'm very excited to purchase the item and try it out.

I always check the reviews, and it's my #1 decider, on purchasing anything, here or elsewhere. I do take it with a grain of salt.. but I always check 'em and go from there.

The reviews do help me decide especially if there are pictures and more than one review. I'm more apt to buy a product if it generally has good reviews

It's the most important factor I consider.

I'm an avid reviewer and I read 100% of the reviews for products I'm interested in. I do however have favorite reviewers that I pay particular attention to. Reviews have convinced me to buy more products than not - but quality reviews have saved me from wasting money on some duds.

It depends on the item, if I'm spending a bit more, then I really rely on the review.

Sometimes you accidentally fall in love with the idea of a product, and no amount of logical disagreement and experiences can sway you!

Good reviews make a huge impact on how likely I am to purchase something. I don't have money to waste on things I'm not almost certainly going to like!

It depends on what the review says (if I think I would disagree with it, etc) and how reliable the review seems.

As always "it depends"

But usually, the reviews are a huge deciding factor for me, especially if I'm comparing between items.

I rely upon reviewers because I trust they're more experienced with the product than I am.

I'd say a 7. Honestly, I look at off-site reviews as well if I'm not sure.

While it does depend on the quality of the review, I tend to read all or most of the reviews on the pricier things to see how much negative feedback there is before I even think about buying the item.
There have been around thirty items or so I wishlisted because I liked the look of them that have been removed after reading some of the reviews made it clear they weren't worth it.

High quality reviews that state why the toy was great or not influence me greatly.

I depend a lot on the reviewers except when it comes to lingerie, then i waver a bit. I like to try and base that more on their size and how my size compares to it. If they have a similar size then I rely on it more but if it varies a lot from mine then I will go out and try it for myself. I believe reviews for lingerie should have a girl for each sizing.

It depends on the item and who wrote the reviews. I try to read several both the good and the negative ones. I've learned that sometimes when nobody else likes an item, I like it and vise versa.

If it's a product we've been interested in I try and read all of the reviews. If one is very negative but doesn't specify why really I probably will still order it. But if there is a well thought out reasoning behind a negative review it definitely gives me pause.

I tend to heed the well written an witty reviews. If someone has poor grammar or spelling I cannot take the review seriously.
