Jimmyjane products just ooze luxury…whether it’s their sleek vibrators or their deliciously enticing body products, they make you want them. And it’s not all aesthetics; you can tell they’re high-quality. It’s the appeal of something you know is different - designed more thoughtfully.

The man behind the design is Ethan Imboden – a man more fascinating than even his products. He has such an interesting background and career path (not that I want to give it all away before the interview), but he has a degree in Engineering from Johns Hopkins, a masters in Industrial Design from Pratt and went from designing for Motorola and Nike to creating high-end sex toys, accessories and body products.

This is definitely someone whose brain you want to pick, because he is changing the industry with his design concepts and consumer approach. This is not business as usual, and this company is anything but ordinary.

Very, very excellent. I love my afterglow candle so much I sleep with it next to my bed, endlessly amazed that it smells so good even when it's not burning.

Oh geeeez... Did anybody else catch The Bloggess' question on the interview:

"Have you ever considered partnering with Nike to create a running shoe that gives you orgasms while you run? Because I would totally buy that. If you invent something like that please send me residual checks for the idea.

PS. This should be for chicks only because if you do it for guys it's going to get messy and the track will get slippery and then you're going to get sued for all the slips caused by this. Also, ew."

A few concerns. LOL!!!

If you're multi-orgasmic you would probably have to make frequent stops on the track.

It could get quite noisy out there. At least for me it would.

And if you're shoes don't quite do it for you, will you have to fake one?

Oh and I have the perfect add for it....

Wow! I'm also very impressed with Ethan's answers so far! He's quite thorough and His reply to the Blogess is quite fascinating! I think we should all be able to make it to the Olympics with that one...or would that be cheating to use those Nikes? Heh.

To answer his question, because I'm not quite sure where to post an answer, I have tried both the Beyond Euphoric and Beyond Cooling. I haven't had a desire to try the Warming just yet because its been so darn hot here lately but I'm sure I'll get around to that one too. I love the subtle cooling sensation from the Beyond Cooling but really love the way that Beyond Euphoric smells! Not only that but it turns my skin to silk without any yucky residue. I love em!

I suddenly have this urge to be surrounded by Jimmyjane products.

The Beyond Euphoric is totally going on my wishlist, as well as the contour stone, another afterglow and one of the ember candles and a little chroma vanitas with skulls on it...

I know! After my experiences with the Beyond Warming lotion and that fabulous Dark Vanilla Afterglow candle, I'm hooked. We can make it sound fancy and call ourselves "collectors".

I'm becoming more and more obsessed with Jimmyjane products daily. I need them all!

LOL! I have a couple of the Afterglow candles too. I like to open a corner of the protective film to take a whiff. I haven't been able to make myself actually light them yet though. Does that qualify me as a collector? =P

I love that you have taken some of the seediness out of sex toys, and added a sense of sleekness and minimalism, making them more mainstream, without sacrificing the power or features. I am always curious how a man can so easily get into the head of a woman and know what she is looking for in terms of sex toys, as you seem to be spot on?


#3 - Drew G
What inspires you to create? Is it different depending on whether the end use is for yourself or for your work or are the two so intertwined it does not matter. Are their certain times of day, certain seasons, music, dance, movies? We are surrounded by information and influence at all times now it can be difficult to escape. How does that affect what you create and how do you block out a bad influence so your work/design can remain true?
